ok the bulbs are 1000 wat and w.e those little taped up shits are they work with the bulbs my pal came over today and hooked them all up to a extension cord.

so still wondering what all these would be worth in total, the lights in box havn't been used. I dnt know shit all about this stuff i raiding some guys apartment and took these and some other things that didnt belong with these so if someone could plz tell me wtf else im gonna need to start growing.. i have my own containers etc to grow in.. i just need to now if i need anything else to make these lights funcontinal for growing.

what else do you need?
seeds, growing medium, air circulation, nutrients, reflectivity and a clean environment for the .... oh yes... the plant...

well those are the ballasts

the lights seem ok..cant tell the wattage from the pics...anything under 150-250 watts is about useless...toss the ballast...get something that wont burn your house down...does the ballast even say what wattage it can handle?

thous arnt ballast they are parts to a ballast they are the capaciter and igniter for an hps ballast the actual ballast is missing it wouls have a heavy magnit onit and is not coverd like that, so you need several things but there is nothing wrong with making your own ballast and leaveing them open, lots of commercial grows do this but they are mounted on a solid board.

you need to much to list but the first post is a good start.

without a chance has it right....cap and ignitors. i see a mogul in there. and if them bulbs are used its not worth shit. to see if bulbs ar enew or not look at the end that screws in and there will be a dimple in the center where the pin would push into the end of the bulbs...right in the center of the end...its small. sometimes is a bit black to. the rest isnt worth much realy. they are the cheep stuff in a ballast. the3 core thats missing is about 50 bucks each. you need to know what wattages those caps and ignitors are....and is for an hps with ignitors, mh dont have them...
