yeah man in the last year after several larger ops on budget and large losses(really we broke even) my partner bailed, but left me with a ton of stuff. i sold most of it and focused on building the best most energy and space efficient design, while still getting what i need to smoke and pay the elec and bills or whtever.

so i have mad a ton of improvements and have learned to design much better systems, with a much greater understanding of what goes into them.

as far as mites go.... well i hate the fuckers but i got a pretty good system the key formed was making the spray more intense and hitting them hard early. i always figured if it wasn't that bad go light in chem well wrong. get em early, get em for good.

this is what i do, take me a half gal to cover my entire grow 3x with a old raid compression sprayer. i alternate chemicals every 3 sprays i spray every 3 days.

my mixs for a half gal are .5 tbsp tronconzial triticonazole concentrate (matholion) 3/4oz neem extract(garden safe) then 3/4oz permethrin concentrate and 3/4 oz neem extract. i alternate the sprays and never spray anything in there last 2 weeks.(i just move them out the way)

the way it works with most pm sprays is it changes the pH this can fuck everything up if your plants did not expect it. why did you use it where are you getting the pm at? outside? if its inside you need to find the source, if you can make sure the air has a low spore count this will prevent mold regardless of humidity. good swing of day and night temps help prevent mold too.my personal recommendation is to dry the room out asmuch as possible if you see any pm. crank the dehum at light off. for a few nights and keep the ventilation running.

I've been making small discoveries myself. Mostly with my bubble buckets. Found out that as long as part of my roots are exposed, they can go hours (At least 14 per my impromptu test so far.) without any sign of drowning. Makes my light dep outdoors alot easier, as I can put them in the shed outside instead of in my basement. I know where the PM came from, I didn't keep an eye on how humid my cloner was in the dome, I didn't bring in anything new, so it's the only place it could have come from. It was my indoor grow. Haven't had any problems since then, so I think all is well. Forunately, I'm one of those guys who has to run a humidifier to get my RH over 25%, so I just kicked on the ceiling vent and kept the humidifier off for a few days after the great death. Fortunately, my GDP mother that was right next to it flowering is just fine. Sucks though, now I'm down to the one scrog. It's going well, but almost all my ATF got wiped out, and that is my favorite of the two. Fortunately, I started the ATF mother outdoors for my outdoor DWC test. I've got a thread going on that one if you want to check it out. I've got pics of my lazy man scrog of the GDP, but no thread because I'm lazy. lol Thanks for the mite eradication regimen, I'll have to see what I can do about locating that.

dont waste your cash on a humidifier, trust me i was cloning(aero) in the winter at 0% rh no dome and every thing was vegging beautifully the lower the RH the better IMO.

clone in aero cloner bucket little over 24 hours in now, WWxBgum seeling damaged leaf replanting its stretchy little ass.
this blue cheese and woody haze(future mother) survived the pesticide treatment fairly unharmed and are currently my only 2 plants that are decent looking.
from left to right the mothers now in flower, puple, sativa(bagseed), bluechesse, had a pic of the fourth mother (afgan) but it takes so long to upload.
the reason i get the big ass air pump, this stone is 5ft away from pump, firtst pic just shows the main line and setup kinda.

the damage done from being to harsh with pesticide, slow growth small buds no leaves, and lots of clones missing form pots cuz they where burned to shit.....oh well you live you learn.
some seed fun top 2 bags are bag seed med and large. the 2 cups are seed germing in distilled water and a drop of seaweed extract, the left is the smallest bag seeds i have that didnt bust when i tested them. the right one is currently 2 kens kush seeds im being very patient with before plant.(retry) the bud and bag near is purplexBgum male hermie, collecting the seedsthe other 5 bags seedsive also been breeding, bottom from a sativa i was growing. the other is land race Mexican sativa i bred(basically bag seed f1 mexican sativa) to the left of that firts on from bottom with a paper is kushxBgum male hermie, then the 2 above are bluecheesexBgum male hermie and white widowxBgum male hermie(well im hoping they are reg seed id be pretty salty if they are all fem)

broke my both my zippers on my "window" (tent is sideways so this is my door, yes my back hurts from the bending but im young, i can reach everything while sitting in one spot) rigged it up with a peel and stick zipper and some rubber cement. thank you, whoever mad rubber cement.
all my clones stems are looking good after 3 day, one had SID and died but the rest are ready to burst roots looking like some 4-6 day clones not bad for my first go at the aero cloner after a month, pretty good actually.

other than that,, i got my drip setup functioning correctly had to add an elbow to the main line above oumo to shoot water back into res. and break the vacuum. the downside was the pressure lost from the elbow was to great in addition to my misters so they had to be removed. sad bud i guess you cant have it all!

and now my flow from the emmiter is more managable (not a stream) and i can run them at the correct length of time. things are turning around. got some plant in veg looking goot to go, about to pu them in flower in the next week.

also had to rasie my light way up i dont know what im gonna do about the cannopy my mothers are stretching the fuck out they are all about 3-4ft tall now(including pot which is like 10in)

oh and i jus put another KK seed down it didnt devolop a tail after a week of being popped, so i put it in the soil. along with 2 bag seed and another wwxbg that popped. i got a lot of seeds going in the ground right now. oh and one of the seedling died, well i killed it, dropped a pot on it the one that was damaged is doing good tho. better be sure not to do that if a KK ever pops....

Yo poly, I keep having to track down this thread and just realized its in your sig. I was wanting to comment on your mothers getting too tall (mine are too) had you ever thought about taking the entire top and trying to root it while it's on the plant? I want to try this but used a different method , dropped a box fan on a teen that was to become a mother , def made it really short. Dunno that the rooting on the plant method will work with the entire top of a plant but I may give it a go.

yeah i had though about that... i just dont want to risk rot all over the branches this could fuck a mother up. so ijust flowered em and took a few clones to become mothers next time i thhink i will chop the tops for clones and LST more hardcore(although i was doing some crazy shit to them already) i was thinking some type of scrog mom and take cutting only when they come above the screen. but for me sometime its time to switch a mother for a clone, mine where going on 6 months or something like that. i checked the tamisium unit. can see why they want what they want and i have agree with, if its used half price, becuse those are pretty nicely built(not my cup of tea but worth the cash they are asking) but used doesn't have any guarantee. i cant imagine whos making 5lbs of wax db i think the 2oz model serves the purpose more than enough lol. i like the clamp the have on the cylinder to prevent explosion all in all a 10/10in design for them.
after taking these pics i realized they needed watered but to left are my tommato plants first try had an early start so some tomatoes are forming,as you can see by the top veiw pic they are doing very well(its like 5 cherry tom plants the one to the left is a mix of Cherry tom, tom, hot peppers) ive never grown tomatoes except with my mom,and well she must have not grown pot cause hers look like shit compared to min. they say 8lbs per plant i think im gonna hit close to that mark wih all of mine! to the righ is 4 different kinds of peppers all looking nice. this is all soiless so i have to water everyday, but my normal garden i looking NICE! (tom plants are about 5ft tall)

PURPLE X BUBBLEGUM in action. surpisenly(at least to me) all my seeds thus far from this cross have been fertile,kush WW and BC of mine have all popped so i got plenty of seedlings going in the ground,my owns crosses too im pretty excited. hoping i get some exemplary males. especially from the purp this was my most anticipated seed.

yeah I was reading some talk about doing a diy tamisium, I think they decided against it and 1500 wasn't a bad price for safety.

naw man any DIY wont be up the standards of that thing. those things are all hand made and tested, nice looking piece of equip, in reality its only worth about 1000$ in parts and labor. but those are pretty clean and worth the few extra hundred bucks.

if you look back to where i took the pic of clones, well when i took that pic i forgot to turn the machine back on and killed 2 clones and set back my other ones so no roots yet might be some 7-8 day clones and they were doing great too. i fixxed the zipper too

yes I caught all that and sorry to get off topic and all. roots, whats that? my cloner has been running for days without even a bump :/

that sucks man,maybe try only water and not pH im barley doing anything to these clones and their taking off. i think all i i did this time was 1 gal tap water, 1drop superthrive and maybe a drop of lemon juice a day. soaked them in hormex extra long though(i sit there and actually wait 2 min)

picked up about 20lb of dry ice today for free, found 2 big boxes of the stuff. does dry ice come in clear? i ha always though it was opaque

VERY EXCITING NEWS, i had a seed pop but i dont know where it came from, hopefully its a kens kush,but who knows ive planted several seeds in the last 2 weeks and most of them popped it could be something else but i had those maked for the most part so im hoping this is Kens Kush.

more good news all of my seeds ive recently breed are very fertile and i just put 10 beans in the groung cant wait to see what comes up.hoping for several males! but alas they may be fem seeds( bgum hermie, i claim it to be a male hermie, but im only about 90% sure)

also any ideas in a DIY screen my mesh bag didn't make the best tasting hash. i was thinking pany hose if i can find some.

and what shoould i do with all the extra ice i barly have enough trimming to really do anything with it. i was just think putt a little in the grow room at a time for tonight and turn off the co2(think im about to run out anyways and i might not run it for a month just to get perspective on growth rates. then again i might not since its pretty cheap for a refill thats gonna last me 4months

I've heard good things about silkscreens. Supposedly hardware store carry them. I use an upright mixer and cheesecloth, myself. I've only done a couple runs though.

i just doubled up on the mesh bag i came out much cleaner and i shook for less time. the shit is prettymuch already powder when i get ready to shake it.good stuff this time around.

ive heard those good things about silkscreens too, and they'll usually let you know the size in microns

i was doing a google search dont have any idea who sells them around me. im gonna look into it tho

I'm checking my local ace today, I'll let you know if that pans out.
