You're right man. This is a good one.
Maybe transplant isn't necessary.

What's the ph, of the mix you used?
Did you check it before you potted?
Is there any extra lying around, you can test?

I transplanted anyway, and they had some crazy good root development even tho they are tiny. Backed up the light a few inches. I might have just been overwatering.
I didnt test the ph before potting, i should have but like i said its 80%perlite/vermiculite.
I should have made one change at a time to pinpoint whatever the problem is. But i didnt think about it till now.

Possibly mildew or mold? If the white substance is diatomaceous earth, I would wash it off the leaves because you're blocking precious leaf surface that would otherwise be collecting light.

What's your humidity?

Origin of soil/ compost, is it store bought?

Rh is between 25-40 fluctuating. Yes its all storebought.
 
Hello could anyone help at all please can anyone tell me what wrong with this please just been like this for 2-3 days now hardly any change at all just don't know if they are going in the right direction any help please

I would recommend buying a desktop humidifier for your grow area.

Yea i knew it was low just didnt think it would really be that big of a deal. Problem with humidifying is those seedlings arent all i have going. I have 3 flowering in a tent in the same room. And the rh in that tent is like 30% higher from all the vegetation. So 50% rh for the seedlings turns into 80% in the flower tent.
EDIT:
So its not actually 30% higher. Right now its 18% higher

Unless i can get a really small humidifier that isnt big enough to affect the whole room and just isolate it near the seedlings

Alright so from what I've gathered, you have a room with a veg and seedling area; within that room, is a tent with plants flowering. Your "room" RH is 18%, and your "tent" RH is 50%.

In my general experience you would be need an industrial sized humidifier to change your tent RH drastically, so I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Here are some issues associated with low humidity:

  • Wilting
  • Dry leaves
  • Decreased growth rate
  • Curling of the leaf tips
  • Tip decay
I believe these issues correlate to your pictures, although that doesn't mean causation.


So yeah, you'll need a desktop humidifier. They're small and discrete. I would look on amazon, or the big department stores.

Some basic brands are: vicks vapour rub, pure guardian, and a host of others that sell them for kids rooms.


You're not looking to change the humidity of the entire room, just around your seedings. What I do is set up the humidifier close to the plants and use a small computer fan to blow humid air directly on to the young plants.

From what I can see, you're having two issues. Over watering, and low humidity.

For humidity, refer to my precious post.

For watering, keep the soil uniformly moist, not water logged(yours looks waterlogged so use that as a reference now) . Let the surface dry about 1/4 of and inch(about half your thumb nail) before watering agin. Discipline is the key.

Great thanks final2x I think I need luck think this one isn't any good will keep it going a few days tl see if it improves if not will maybe buy little humidifier thanks

Close. You're mostly correct. In one room i have the seedlings in a veg box and thats at 30% rh. In the same room i have a flower tent that was 18% higher last night at 48% it went down this morning to 40%. I just meant the rh was 18% higher in the tent. But yes they are in the same room.
Very thorough, thank you very much. Those seem to be the exact symptoms i am seeing here so ill grab a humidifier.
