Yeah, it's the rehab she's scared of.She got really fucked up in a head on collision in 1978,she has a pin in her knee and elbow,a fucked hip, and her lung collapsed.She was pulled out with the jaws of life.
Tell her its worth it...It really is one thing that works well.... I'd go again no problem... when your hip is shot the pain is way worse then the cure.. Any info she may want, ask me..

Its like my hip jobs. 75, 86,02.. the latter were easy, the 1st one was hard.. joint repair has come such a long way, its "almost" carefree.... The rehab therapists are gods... they know now what the potential complications are, and they make sure that they don't happen... If she would like to talk to an experienced bone yard person, have her email me. You have 1 of my personal mail addys..pm me for the direct line... better fixed then suffering....

Stoney... sorry about your mom's situation. I also have two friends that are similar to Twisty. Both are thrilled they did it. My good friend is going in for his 2nd replacement on Feb 10. (operating date) He is walking bone on bone because he left things go too long. Terrible pain.
Try to convince mom to get it done.

Yeah, she has medicare, don't know how that works.The thing is with us, if one of us refuses medical treatment, we respect that.If she wants to do it after I research it for her a bit, I'll go in and hold her hand and all that.But it's her life, her body, she's gotta decide.

Sounds like my mother..... stubborn to a fault. But it is good for you to respect her decisions. My mother needs two new knees.... she won't hear of it either.

I do feel sorry for my US friends..I've had 8 major ops at 0 cost, not one penny cost.. I just don't get making profit off of the suffering of others.. thats just wrong..

Yeah, I have something wrong with me where I have explosive diarrhea if I eat anything greasy, which is turning into anything I eat now...there's a constant burn in my stomach, and I can't afford my meds to keep me from killing random strangers, lol.Thank goodness for pot.

It is a very sad thing. We are in that position.... I have good insurance through work.... but Vette has none. Really sucks!
