Portable Ac/water question

I doubt that there would be enough free copper to make much of a difference.
How much copper is in whiskey, vodka, etc.............................................

Good question.
that may be true, when used to distill alchol , we coulnt use aluiminum or steel condensor coils you would get poisoning from them , but the copper was fine, but just because its fine for use may not be fine for the plant? Using the water i think is an excellent idea but i do some resuarch on the copper side ,,iv know people to die from pourly distilled alchol , but they died happy ,,that's the main thing,,

I've heard of people dying from improperly distilled alcohol and after a bit of research I see that temperature plays a huge part in that.

Ethanol (the alcohol you want) boils at 174F, water boils at 212F and Methanol which boils at 148F. During the condensation process, Methanol is first to be evaporated and then distilled (this is the shit that will kill you) so most shiners pitch the first brew.
The second to be evaporated is the Ethanol (the good stuff for liquor drinkers) and finally if allowed to go long enough water will be the last.

Disclaimer: This is my "Fred Flintstone" version of the distillate process & if you plan on making some for consumption then I'd ask someone that has done it & not killed themselves.

Yes you can use it. Its just water lol. But as others have said, if the evaporator tray is dirty clean it with diluted bleach and water. The copper will not leach. Whats your plumbing pipes made of? Copper! Its just water lol.
