Hey guys need some help asap. Im wondering if pot size really does make that big of difference when it comes to yeild. Im about 3-4 weeks into flower and have all my girls in 1 gallon pots. I've always done: clone plug/ to beer cup/ to 1 gallon/ to 3 gallon to finish off and have seen amazing results. The problem is with this cycle is that i've waited longer than usual to transplant from transition to flower and i am now 3-4 weeks in to flower and still have em in 1 gallons. First question: isnt it not to good to transplant that far into flower..??? Second question: will it really make that big or any difference in yeild/quality of my plants if I just finish them up in the 1 gallons..?? Anyone ever try anything like this..?? I remember seeing FDD's post of his outdoor plants and how huge they were with such small pots but didnt see the end result of that. So please guys help me out and let me know if 1; its to late to transplant anyway. and 2; is it going to effect yeild if i ride it out in a 1 gallon pot. I hope you guys can help me out... Thankyou -notcalek

I would leave them alone at this point I think it's too late to repot them and won't make a difference. You should have done it during veg like you know you should have.

Having said that, there are nutes that can make all the difference in the world even in a tiny pot and your pots are not tiny. What nutes are you using?

so the pots really doesnt matter??..lets say you have ur plants in a 5 inch pot..and you only vegg for 2 weeks..and then go into the flowering stage..will it be an issue??..i knoe it's yield will be affected..but other than that..will it be an issue??..since all that matters is the nutes.

Lets see, I use the whole "PureBlend" line for nutes which is: Veg,Bloom,Sweet,Liquid Karma. I also use "Humboldt County's Own": Gravity, and Purple Maxx. I use "Grandmas" Mollassas. And I also use 100% organic "Cornucopia Plus" Dr. Thomas' Necessary Plant Energy which is a premium Tricarboxylic Acid's (Organic Acids/Auxiliary Supplements) Which I use because I run co2 and this pretty much takes the co2 from the Air and adsorbs it into the soil. Pretty neat stuff, its out of Vermont. Anyways yea i thought it would be to late. Anyone else??

There have been many contests on growing in tiny containers in soil and some folks have grown monster plants in just 16oz or smaller drinking cups. The nutes make all the difference in the world. I haven't used anything like your mix but it sounds VERY capable of still getting a large yield off that gallon pot as long as you don't overdo it.

wow really?..in only 16oz cups??..do u knoe how long they vegged 4?..i would only have guessed 2 weeks of vegg..because i wouldnt want it to get root bound or anything..and it grows alot during flowering..but i may be wrong..you probably can veg a lil longer than 2 weeks in a small container..hmm..i was just curious..

I have been seeing posts that state that its never really to late to transplant unless obvoiusly if you are crazy far into flower. But i read as long as you are very good and experienced at transplanted then you will be fine because there will be very minimal stress, which makes sense, and I am a very good/smooth transplanter and never mess up. So let me know guys, i am also gonna see what my local grow shop owner says but i am very interested in what u guys have to say so let me know ASAP! Thanks

It's not that you will kill the plant or anything, just transplanting risks shock and shock during veg can cut your yield just like too small a container could so 6 of one, half dozen of the other.

Do it then if you can do it gently enough you think you'll get away with it without shocking the plant.

You know you really really want too... :)

well let me ask you this guys.. Seeing as i am now about 4 weeks into flower, will the roots even have enough time to really expand out in the remaining time going from a 1 gallon pot into a 3 gallon...??? And yes i do really want to but making sure that it will for sure be worth it, because if I do that means like $60-80.00 worth of soil. And if the roots are not even gonna get to their full potential anyways in the time i have left then I rather not waste the $oiL.. Thanks for replyin and puttin up with my stupid little dilemma..
