PotPimp's Auto Mini Thunderfuck seed run

Here are some shots from yesterday evening. You can see that the one female has just gone crazy. I don't know if it's different genetics or what but maybe it's because the others got poisoned. Anyway, I'm glad I'm getting at least one decent size plant out of this.

sweet dude. how does that smell when u give the stem a rub? im probably going to order mtf, and short term amnesia from dutchbreed in a month or so. i really want a bubble gum auto.

Funny you should mention that. This evening was the first time I actually smelled anything but it sure smells good!! I also noticed some yellow pollen on the rez so I put a little glass bowl under the boys and gave them a few thumps to collect the pollen.

I don't know what happened but all but one got some sort of severe shock and nearly stopped growing totally. Still no idea what sex the other plant is. Notice that one of the leaves does not have a jagged edge!
 
Subscribed,Hey PP I was wondering how these Autos would do in one of Stinks Veg unit's for the duration. It would be definitely interesting.I think they would be perfect for a closet type grow.:peace:
 
Hey 46and2, This actually is Stink's veg unit that I'm using. Since these little plants are so small I decided not to even fool with the flowering unit. Actually I could do this with just one rez and eliminate the need for the top one altogether, just put the top cover on the bottom rez and get the bottom cover and top rez out of the way. I would put a strainer over the pump to make sure the roots were not able to get into the pump.

I started pollinating the girls this morning, using the artists' brush technique. And then I decided to just pick up the little guys and dust the females with the plant and that worked really well I think.

Still no clue as to the sex of the last plant. It's looking very healthy and it's half way through it's life so it should be showing sex very soon. If it's a boy it's getting tossed.
 
Check out the mystery plant with a magnifying glass and... IT'S A GIRL!! Tiny little white pistils growing out from the little branches. Yipeeeeee, more seeds!

My bad I thought you were using the clone unit .Yeah if there not sexed why I mentioned the veg unit would be perfect .the flower unit may be a PITA with males.
 
I got my new LED lights in yesterday. I also changed out the rez. I found that the roots from the one plant had gone all the way through both rez tanks and about 8" was curled up in the bottom one - from a friggin plant only 10" tall!! Let's recap: 10" plant / 4' roots. Wow. I got the lights changed out from the T5's; hopefully they will be even better although I have been very impressed with the T5's. I didn't have time to check on them this morning but I'm sure they are happy.

sweet dude. i think i8m justt going to order the short term amnesia now because that site is always sold out. just checked and it says seeds will be back around oct 25th but still not available :(
 
Sorry for the lousy picture but the battery in my camera died after just one photo. I'll take some good ones tonight. This is before the flash popped up.

I took some photos this morning and the flash went off but the red LED's are so bright that it seems that they overpowered the camera's flash. Oh well... They are looking very good and healthy. I still have the boys in there and they keep on pumping out yellow powder. I don't think the last girl to flower has been pollinated very well so I'm going to give her a good dusting tomorrow to make sure I get all the seeds I can get. I can almost catch a buzz by sticking my head in the cabinet and breathing; it smells soooooooooo good!!

ur gonna have a ton of seeds dude. i just pollinated one of my ak47 autos. cant wait cause then i wont have to order from attitude as much as i used to.
 
I am sure hoping for a ton, LOL. Considering that these were $4 each, that can add up in a hurry, especially when you consider the germ rate and the M/F ratio; 3 viable females out of 12 seeds. That comes out to $12 / seed in my book. This seed run is looking better all the time.

im thinking about buying a couple packs of fem seeds and once at a time putting 2 plants in a closet with a cfl bulb and spray either colloidal silver or giberellic acid on one of the females to hermie it and make fem seeds on the other plant. and make ak47 and diesel ryder seeds. thats all i plan on growing maybe some lowryder 2. but if i had like 100 fem seeds from 3 different strains i would be good with seeds for like 4 or 5 years? thats a ton of money saved as well
 
That sounds like a plan to me; you would save a mint on seeds. I am looking forward to growing some AK47 or AK48 autos too.

Well, I tried to get better pix by holding a lamp near the plants but the LED's are just too overpowering, even with the camera flash; so screw it. These are from yesterday (halloweenie).

You can see how pregnant the bigger one is, loaded down with seed pods. The smaller ones have seeds too. Just for giggles I am going to keep the seeds from each one separate that way if the pheno isn't to my liking, I don't have to grow them off. These should be ready to chop now if I were just going for the bud. I haven't really checked the trichs to see what stage they are at but I really don't care much; I'm just in this run for the seeds.
