Power Flowering?

So I just read up on power flowering light manipulation. Curious if anyone has actually tried it on here? I get that it'll shorten flower time and obviously decrease your electricity bill thats clear but what about quality? Im willing to try it at some point. It seems realistic to do if you are on a strict schedule or they are taking longer than expected but to do it constantly?

Power flowering is when you change the hours of the day for your plants from 24 hours down to 18 hours.

Veg. 14 hours on 4 hours off
Flower 6 hours on 18 hours off.

this obviously means the light will be on and off randomly each day but is it worth the hassle?

Read DJ shorts book on cultivation. He recommends no lower than 11 hrs strain depending of course
