Power Goes Out The Comes Back ON? Will my light come back on? If Im not home and the power goes out or flickers like it did this morning, will the light come back on without turning the ballast off? Thanks.

I don't see why not...I mean when the power goes off it just stops getting power to it..so it should come back on when it is getting power again...power outages are an issue, since they also mess up your timers.

also a chance that you blow your bulbs due to a surge when power comes back online

Depends how quick. If it goes out for 5 seconds and comes back on I know my lights won't fire backup. It's a hotstart protection. It's so your bulb doesn't blow.

So ok what if Im at work and they go out one morning or afternoon and Im not able to check it out until late afternoon, what will happen?

if your cities power supply is that fickle, you may want to go with a backup generator

if my power goes out, my timer will, generally, reset. If your plugged directly into the wall you should be fine. If your running on a timer you may not be.
