he has the regular pre-98 though I have the BX2 bubba and I just ordered those seeds around october so if you've been having the seeds for a while maybe you got a better batch???

Hey peeps whats up i've been following this for a few days now, i guess it's time for me to chime in on this one.
I have a CC Pre 98 Bubba fem in flower as we speak, it's at the end of its 6th week. I bought em when the free mix pack promo hit the tude. Out of 6 beans i only got one viable plant, one of em didn't germ, 2 died off the day after they broke out of soil, and after 6 weeks of veg 2 of em were such runts they were still seedlings so i shit canned em.
That leaves me the one i have in flower right now, it's like most of yours it's gonna be some pure fire for sure, no hermie issues as of yet but its not gonna yield shit. It's about 3 feet tall with a huge top main cola, it never really branched out much the branches just grew straight up real close to main stalk. Like everyone else im sure i could of done better in the yield department with some training or topping but when growing new strains for the first time i like to let em grow natrualy so i can get a feel for how it grows.
How ever that being said im not writing it off just yet, i contacted Swerve about about the less than faverable results of only getting one viable plant and i have to hand it to him he really steped up to the plate with some free replacements and a pack of his new Strawberry OG testers and t shirt.
Next time around i plan on topping early and offten and hope to do better on the yield.

i have one at 7 weeks smells good but the yield is just gonna be sad veg 45 days then switch to 10 gallon pot for 2 weeks them fliped ill be happy if i get 2 zips

Pre98 bubba is just flat out a quality over quanity Indica strain. it tries to grow with a central cola, using that mostly to grow its buds on. it will even sometimes have small buds, but that is almost always counteracted by a huge covering of very highly concentrated THC. its also a kind of peppery-dark tasting strain on a general speaking basis, not every pheno will be like this... im just saying most are said to be like this! hope i could help! i love pre98 bubba!

I just finished a grow with this strain and was more than happy with the results. I grow her next to some Cali connections 818 headband and although the 818 was a beast with huge ass nuggs the pre-98 bubba wasn't that far behind. I pulled almost 2oz off the Bubba Kush of some of the dankiest rock hard nuggs I've ever had and 3ozs off the 818. Both were easy to grow and ended up dank as fuck. Here's acouple random pics of both plants.

How long you veg the 818 for? I just harvested some myself and got 2 oz off her with a 21 day veg....I have some clones that I took from her in flowering now that should yield more. Was your 818 the OG pheno? mine leans toward the OG

I let them both veg around 28 days and flower for 60 days. My 818 clones died off which pisses me off but I'll def be ordering a new pack for my next grow. She was very easy to grow and took nutes like a champ which is more than I can say for any OG Kush I've ever grown. I'd say mine took on more of the SD genetics. Everything from yield to to overall taste and high. Very dank taste followed by a great but not over powering body high.

Cool, I may have sacrificed yield by letting her bush out too much instead of just having 4 or 5 main colas. here is my 818...the 2nd pic is the clone I took from her which will yield better hopefully

They look great bro!! I could definately see this strain yielding over a QP per plant if topped a couple times and allowed to veg a lil longer. Here's a couple pics of the 818 about 2 maybe 2 1/2 weeks from harvest. Sadly I was in the hospital for harvest so didin't get to take my usual trimmed pics lol. She had 4 big ass colas on top with rock hard golfball sized popcorn buds all the way down covered in trics!!

Ahhhhh man Just this Friday night I heard a loud crash and somehow my exhaust fan came loose and fell on the clone. No stems broke but about half the the plant was laying on its side so I had to prop her back up she seems to be doin good but I am sure it shocked the shit out of her and so Im guessing I can add an extra week or two to flowering because I can tell she has slowed down...But other than that she's doing good she's at about 44 days flowering strangely the buds look different than the original plant, they are way more dense on the clone
