Running some store bought Super Soil and wanted to post its progress so far. Soil Layers=60% Hot 40% Top.

Seeds are
-4x Purple Chem Feminized
-1x Purple Diesel Feminized
-1x Blackwater Feminized.

All germinated in solo cups in a light SS mix (20%hot 80%top)

Once at desired size, they were transplanted to final 7 gal smart pots (60/40 soil layer). With a light layer of Roots Orgeonizm XL endo/ecto-mycorrhizae powder. then vegged for 4 weeks to roughly 14" tall

Flowering was started 28 days ago from the time of this post, they were switched to a Hortilux eye 1000w hps at the start of flower. Top dressed with some supersoil Hot soil on day 25.

more pics tonight!

Also feeding schedule is about every 3 day a gallon of water per plant. Rotation between plain water and water plus 1tsp molasses.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it a lot! more pics tonight. They just got fed their molasses and water last night.

To be honest. I could have really beefed up my Tea for them with a few other amendments. But I really wanted to see what the pre-packaged store bought Super soil can do on its own with only getting water and a little molasses every few feedings

They are over priced compared to other soils. They are in bags of 1.5cu/f and cost 28 dollars a bag for the HOT soil and 15 a bag for the COLD top soil version. In my opinion you are really just paying the extra for the cook time as these are ready to go and do not need a 4-6 week cook time like home brewed super soil. I would have went with a different cheaper top soil as the top soil does not need to cook, but I really wanted to test the pre-packaged super soil to it's fullest.
They are in 7 gallon smart pots. for 12x 7 gal smart pots it took roughly 3 bags of hot and 2 bags of cold. There is an inch buffer layer that is a 50/50 mix of the two between the two layers to help the plants transition. Then I topped them with 6-8 handfuls of hot soil a few weeks into flowering!

I know you can get fox farms soil or roots organic soil for between 13-18 dollars a bag but their ingredients compare closer to the 15 dollar Cold super soil. 28 a bag is a lot for soil, but the 28 dollar hot soil is HOT with all the amendments found in his original recipe in a concentrated dose and it has already cooked and is ready for use. I'm not using anything but water to test the pure results of the soil itself. However every couple of feedings I give them about a tsp per gallon of molasses brewed for 24-38 hrs but that is it.

i wanted to try his recipe and see what happens but it sounds like you are doing that for me:-) I also would use another cold soil on top, Ocean Forest or Happy Frog and save the hot soil for the base. Sounds like you know whats going on, nice work!!
