Pretty interesting, how chimps learn/understand/deal with death.....

chimps are badass. i saw a documentary once about how we now think they have actual language that has to be taught and learned. apparently we have figured out their word for "snake". when the snake comes, the lookout yells, "snake!" (in chimp, obviously) and they all go running up the tree and all start looking for the snake, then they'll point and shit. they are silently planning a revolution.

The most interesting, I think, in the animal kingdom is the fued between lions and hyenas.

Those two are literally like the Bloods and Crips of the bush. They remember, they retaliate, and they plot. Awesome older documentary from National Geographic about them

there is this one type of primate(just found the name after looking for like 30 minutes, bonobo) that is so smart i saw on animal planet show called wild kingdom, it was thought to be a pygmy chimp subspecies, but it is not.they had like 2 if them and These fucking things were using a computer to communicate incredible things through this like special program thats sort of a mix between sign language and our way of compsoing sentences(like they could read words and put them into the computer to make her feelings known and if they asked it questions using the program it would give them answers in full sentences and could actually learn, this is what got me into the idea so much. the most incredible thing happened when the eldest chimp passed, they expressed their feelings of sadness that she had died and seemed to have a good grasp of what that meant.

Agreed.....Of course animals have languages that need to be taught just watch a couple of dogs that get along with each other sort out who is dominant and who is submissive.

Yes the Lion/Hyena relationship is something to be studied imo.....Other african animals like the Cape Buffalo, The Elephant will also attack lion cubs and scientists believe it is a form of population control within the animal community....Interesting to say the least.

One thing about animals don't have a bunch of assholes telling them they have to be PC. Got to be smarter than humans.

you ever seen the one with killer whales and teaching their young how to knock seals off ice floes? that was an awesome video, it wasnt in blue planet, but it was stilll crazy cool how smart orcas are. That makes me think of the one from kruger park i believe where the lions attacked a water buffalo calf and it looked like they had it caught right next to the water.....then a huge crocodile got in on it and tried to steal the calf, the lions won and pulled it back up but by then the buffalo re-grouped and attacked the lions and drove them off....and the calf got up and ran back to the herd despite the lions all ganging up on it for minutes trying to suffocate it. Ever seen that one?
