Prison experiences

I can only guess that those that put in hard-time in prison would rather not be considered bad-asses and have skipped that part of their lives. Those that cast negatives towards those that served time show how ignorant they are.

Shortly after arriving at a prison each new inmate is expected to make a showing out on the main yard, & "Represent" themselves to the rest. For most is like a 'homecoming' meeting up with old crimies & gang members. Especially if your not well know, you need to establish to the prison hiarche , who just stepped on their terf. You may have to show your arrest records or supply some evidence of just who you are. If you stay in your cell and don't show up on the yard after a few days, you've already started out on the wrong foot.........life at Folsom......
Reminds me of blood in, blood out..

AWesome stories jj. Keep em coming

As long as they give me a tranny as a cell mate.. I'll be ok.

Vacaville.....California's Hospital prison, for all medical inmates. It's also where they send all the tranny's. Men inmates will tell you it's the only 'coed' prison in Cali, & there aren't any women inmates there!:o

Women's Prison?.......No way..... If you think the men prisoners are bad, the women are worse!.........I know 2 staff at Folsom that worked at the women's prison before Folsom, they both said they were lucky to get out of there with a job!..........Where the men are all broken into different 'cliques' & come at you 1 at a time, the women will conspire & gang-up on you if they don't like you.......ruthless!!!! They scare me!
woman scare the shit outta me 2, i was married!

no offense to double j, but i REALLY REALLY hope that you understand that every time you say something, and say life in folsom at the end and act like you've lived through it AS AN INMATE AND NOT A C.O., it's really a slap in the face to those of us that have done time or are currently doing time.. it's really embarrassing to say the least..
oh, new inmates have to go out to the yards and show their papers, life in folsom.. how the fuck would you know? you're a c.o... then you tell the one guy who's done some time that not everyone has bad prison experiences, again, how the fuck would you know? than you tell stories about a dude losing his arm in the press by the aryian brother hood, i bet he'd tell you prison from the other side is not a joke..

imvho, all of these stories are a disgrace being told from someone on the other side.. you think you had it so bad working at a prison for 20 some years, had to talk yourself in the gate every day and forget about having a few days off and having to come back to you're lil job as a c.o. at the prison... how dare you.. some of these people will never see the outside ever again.. yeah, lots of them did some horrible shit and deserve it, but some of them got ratted on by people like you and got screwed by the system.. congratulations for working in a prison, i'm proud of you..

sorry, but i really hope i'm not the only one other than slow bus that sees a problem with you and all of your stories.. couldn't sit back and not say something.

I'm absolutely sure I've done more to help inmates in prison & helped more inmates get out of prison early & stay out, than anyone you'll ever know. I worked side by side with these men for 25 years, you get to know just about everything about someone, working with them for 25 years. I consider some, my friends. I walked the yard at Folsom every day with the inmates, you can give me as much 'cred' as you wish. I'm not claiming anything else....thanks for posting.....How's your garden?...
