I know it's no big deal to anyone, but I'm SOOO happy that I was finally able to get dogs! I wouldn't have necessarily chosen the chihuahua, but they both belonged to our neighbor and he has to move and can't keep them. Our landlords have repeatedly refused to allow us to get a dog, but I just couldn't let them go. It just felt right in my heart. Hopefully my landlords will have a change of heart, but I think we're getting evicted. I'm positive that taking these dogs was the right thing to do though and I'm sure that good will come from it. Who knows, maybe we'll find a better place for less money. I guess we'll find out.

You say 'us' and 'we'. Are you talking about your family? Because it would be pretty fucked up to put your family out on the street for a couple of dogs...

Don't get me wrong, I love dogs...

Yes, the "we and us" is myself, my wife, and my 10 year old son. We all discussed having to move and decided it was the right thing to do. I would never let my family come into harm's way, especially over animals, but we live in Cali so I'm not too worried about ending up on the street. With a child involved, it can take up to 6 months to evict. That would be 6 rent free months too, but I don't want to do my landlords like that. Hopefully they will just give us time to find a place and not be jerks about it.:bigjoint:

Wow 6 months? That's nice in Florida it took less than 10 days to evict with a newborn, all because we were less than a month behind on rent... fucking idiots

Im not the biggest chihuahua fan either but the black dog is freaken adorable. I prolly would of made the same choice myself. Hopefully things go good for you.

Yeah, that's my boy!:-P I didn't mean to post that pic with the others, and after I posted, I couldn't figure out how to delete it.:oops: Since I live in Cali, have my rec, and have become a local MMJ activist I think everyone already kinda knows. I've never had any negative responses since I "came out", but I've had lots of positive ones!:clap:

Get them registered as service animals. Duh. Wow. I don't know why people don't think of that. There aren't any guidelines and they can't evict you if there service animals. Look into it. Personally I have more respect for my family then to uproot them from there home over 2 replaceable dogs. My life and my families is more important then 2 adopted dogs...or any animal for that mater. I guess we have different priorities.

Well guy that would be a pretty good idea, but there's a hole; after having been told repeatedly "no dogs" by the landlords, you would think that they already knew the tennant's family wasn't disabled/had service dogs.

And besides, the man already said he had discussed with his family the possibility of moving, and they all were in agreement. I don't see how it was disrespectful, who knows, maybe the child finally wanted a pet after not having to have one...is that such an asshole thing to do if they think it would be worth it? Especially when it can also be a very useful tool in teaching a kid certain responsibilities.

Anyways good to hear man, nice of you to give those dogs a good home. The very worst thing if anything, a few chewed up sneakers lol...good luck
