Purple Jems DWC Grow

def. agree! i would really like to see some pics! hopefully soon i will get to see it firsthand guys:-P cause i am proud to announce i got a girl on the right!!!:clap::hug: im so happy i lit up when i saw those hairs popping out saying hey there!!! ha! i trimmed alot of the males fan leaves out cause he was taking up WAY to much room and i want my girl to get her fair share of light!

Yea man i think im gonna let nature takes its course i would like to harvest some pollen the only thing that scares me is when to take the pollen sacs???:-( Plus he is taking up space even after i trimmed all his lower branching here are some updated pics!

you will see a difference in the sacks as they prepare to pop. Once mature and ready to drop pollen they will almost drop so to speak. the little pod will hang and then pop a little later after that. So the best time is to watch and as they start to hang clip em. Thats usually when i do and the pollen is good. Some wait a day after they start to hang depending on the strain of course to gather the sacks. You almost have to watch one pop to get a good idea when to collect them for the most pollen. I was going to say that if you want through the day place them out side but i remembered that you are growing in hydro. Makes things a little harder to just move em out side lol :)
 
Great info there bro!^^^ Think Imma try that method instead of waiting for them to pop/drop/shake as I will have prob. 5 diff. males stains in my breeding tent...will be easier too! snip em' , pand put em' in their own lil container or baggie....

If you go to do this glass is always the best place pollen. It will stick to the inside of the baggies, plus baggies can tear and let in unwanted moisture. another thing that you may want to do is keep the vial in a bowl of rice or something like that to make sure no moisture will get in.

since you have the ability to take the males out, i would let one out as soon as i knew it was male to get an idea on when, how and what it looks like before it pops its fun juice.

jalapeño or Habinaro either is a good strain indoors i have had luck with both. Actually had some monster jalapeño just this last winter
 
I know I know i hear ya crazy train i want to see some TOO! Ive been staring down those hairs like crazy, counting up the bud sites where hairs are all excited!!! bongsmilie im stressing out about my nute situation i dont have my flower nutes and my local shop closed down! any suggestions??? and for any experienced growers that i got watching, when is the earliest i would start flower nutes? They are on Day 24:roll:

p.s. i dont know the Actual strain of that plant it was in a certain breeders album and i loved how it looked! possibly early cross's done for the purple jems! :dunce: :bigjoint:

hmmm, interesting...didnt think about that..i know about the rice though..So get like a lil glass tube/container with a cover/lid??? I also have a piece of glass from a 8" x 8" picture frame to collect it on, with a mini mesh strainer to separate the flowers if I were to shake the plant....Where do you think I can find little glass containers w/lids?? no taller than 2"-3"...thanks!
