You can get those little vials at like craft places. Pottery Barn, Old Time Pottery, Michaels, even the craft section in wal-mart sometimes carries them. Any place that has craft supplies should have them. michaels has been my best bet here. Good idea with the glass and screen. I use an old wire strainer that i have had for years its kinda like a mesh bowl if you will.
 
Hey simplybaked & fullduplex......Wouldn't ya know it.....The michael's I went to today fucking MOVED!!!, so I went to wal-mart, dollar tree, anna's and k-mart..nothing... So I did what I should've done in the first place!....search the damm internet for a nearby store! and I found one closer than the one that moved....go figure~ SOOOO, off I go again tomm...I want those glass vials!! wish mi luck!

usually how it goes dude when you are looking for something. I know that every time that i went looking for a 4in or 6in glass hurricane they were sold out. Had every other damn size but were out of exactly what i needed lol. Finally found what i needed for the DIY cool tube

hey uptosumpn,im not sure what they would be called where you are from but here in oz we use/call them gel caps. they come in jars of 100 from the chemist[drug store] for like 10 bucks,
the size is 00. they work great because they are made out of gelitine so it absorbs the moisture outta the pollen and any veg matter. i just collect the pollen put it straight into the caps then in the fridge, i have pollen that is sitll viable and its a year old, still in the fridge. i used to store it in film containers but it was forever going moldy, since gel caps, never looked back.worth a try.

Very, very interesting....imma chk those out, if I can find em'...ya think CVS or Wal-greens carry them?? dnt know what "oz" means as far as location..
 
okay fullduplex & simpybaked, just returned from michael's and this is what I found.....it's about 2"tall & 1" wide....I only bought 2, [well No I Didnt!:othey "were" $2.79ea. and imma need @ least 8 of them, jus wanna show you guyz them "before I buy":-o] Anywayz when I put pollen in these jars with rice, do I have to cover the outside with black tape or sumthin for no light to get in, or is it just fine without??? And would I then have to put the jars in a baggie with more rice<to make sure NO moisture get in???? Then into freezer or refridgerator for long term storage??

look pretty damn good to me. Those will work out fine. As far as storage goes i always put a "seal" on mine with some electrical tape. Then in a bowl of rice in the fridge..which my wife just sold lol so we could make room for a new one. Oh and about light penitration........the light does go out when you close the door :)

couldn't help my self lol but, the time you take it out to use it and then seal it up the light wont hurt it that bad at all, at least from what i have done

could'n tell ya im not sure what cvs or wall greens are, but they are also sold at health food shops. oz is short for australia.
