purple spectrum enviro???

i was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a purple spectrum enviro 125w on thru all stages. it will be on with a 125w blue during veg. and a 200w red for flowering will this be a good idea??

Purple? Can you give us a pic or a link?

The only purple light i've ever seen is in the "Ultimate Lighting Thread", that thing looked sooo cool... not.

Im still looking at the dual spec myself, but I havent been able to find much info on their effectivness.

I dont know weather to go with x1 red x1 blue or x2 purple

Im planning on dual 125w CFL's

ive set it all up now i have one 125w blue in a reflector over one plant and one 125w purple beside the plant with mylar on the walls. i have a 200w red for flowering and i am going to have the purple on as well during flowering.

i wouldn't go for x2 purple because i don't think it is enough light. it is a purple light i turned it on expecting a slight purple tint but it is very purple.

i will post the results on this thread so keep an eye on it if your interested.

Ok man we can go throu it as we go. Just got my T44 seeds today so I got 3 in germ and Im gonna buy a red and blue 125w and get them both on from start to finish.

you might want a bigger light for flowering i have a 200w red and 125w purple for flowering. and 125w blue and i have the purple on for vegging.

sounds good. i will keep everyone posted for more info. i started flowering today. does anyone have any ideas on what is good and cheap to feed it during flowering? how long should i leave it flowering?
