Put on a Headband and take a seat! CaL's HB grow journal...

Today I decided to take 10 cuttings/clones of the big champ, Katjie. Both of the HB's have showed pre flowers so I figured they were ready. However I will not take any clones from Heather cuz even if she's a female shes not desirable to keep as a mother plant, so I decided to start flowering her tomorrow...first gonna build a screen set up for scrogging her, hopefully she doesn't seed. Of the 10 clones I will pick 6 that will go into flower and be scrogged, the other 4, if rooted well, will be a gift to a fellow grower. I will keep Katjie as a mother if the harvest is desirable

Lil babies were dipped in rooting powder and planted in starter soil that I watered through w a mild micro nutrient solution. There was just enough room to fit 10 clones and still beeing able to put the "lid" on the humidity dome. Light cycle 20/4. Here are pics of the violated Katjie and the 10 cuttings/clones.

Thx for the luck wishes! I've only had "problem" rooting cuttings once and that was because I put them in too hot soil straight after cutting. This soil is the cheapest I've found, from a supermarket close by. Only has really low values of NPK and calcium so I water it through w Bio Heaven from Bio Bizz at 1ml/L and my clones root well ;) What u mean by "I put it off and put it off lol"?

Tonight is party time so ima go get ready! IT'S CARNEVAL!

Have a nice weekend!

edit: The NL total weight after drying 5 days and trimming is 224g close to 8 oz  I'm guessing ima lose max another oz during the course of curing so the final yield's gonna be 7 oz. Not too bad for 1 plant soil under 400W and no Co2. I'm proud ;)

Welcome on board!

Heather is now on her third day of 12/12 and it's the first time since I planted beans I gave her nutes. Only at 1/4 strenght + Super Vit. Almost 7 weeks since sprouting and this was first nute feeding ;) Oh and I topped her same day as I put her into 12/12.
The first clone I took has rooted very well and the other 9 under the humidity dome are looking perky  Katjie is still growing, the chopping her up process to get babies didn't affect her noticably. Fat, healthy looking plants w soem big @ss fanleaves! These HB's are great genetics...

Seriously I got it figured out now...took me few rounds to get here, trial and error, but look at these roots ;)

And no, it wasn't a religious festival, then I wouldn't be there ;) It was a carneval and I was at the techno festival from 11pm - 11am, came home at 1 pm but didnt fall asleep untill late evening, been beat since! the party was guuud! :blsmoke:

Cannabutter made from 2 oz of fine trim and leaves from Northern Light and Bubblegum, 2,5 sticks of butter. I think I had too much trim...think it's gonna be hella potent?! Looks very pure this time around, guess I'm getting better at this too...gonna make some CaL's chocolate baLLs later. Click the image in my sig for the thread.

Clones are looking good.

Katjie growing strong in veg.

New shoots are growing fine after the cloning.

Heather in 12/12...she's sooo lovely...faaaaaaaat leaves! :blsmoke:

That's all for today folks! Now im off for breakfast...peace!

No I haven't nor am I sure I get "the most" out of it either. From what I've read it's best to do it in a "slow cooker", crock pot? However this is how I do mine and it get very potent and together w CaL's chocolate baLLs and you get great use of yer butter  There are few dif threads on cannabutter in the "Cooking with cannabis" - forum.

First I fill a pot to half w water, put it on the stove. As the water gets warmer I add the amount of butter I'm using, in this case I had 300grams of butter to 56grams of trim, dried and grounded. When the butter is melted I add the trim and stir for a minute. Let it simmer at setting 4 (6 beeing the highest on my stove) for bout 10mins then turn down the heat to lowest setting and let it simmer w lid on for 2-3 hours, stiring every 30mins. Lift it off the stove to cool off for 5mins then I strain it through coffee filters, cheese cloth is a lot easier, but I have coffee filters at home, then put the "solution" in the fridge over night and you should get a layer of butter forming on top of the "water". Next step is to separate the butter. Just lift it up w apropriate tool, then I remelt it again to strain one last time and to form the butter to what shape I desire. This is how the butter looks after I re-melted it, strained it and re-refridgerated it :blsmoke: Now ima bake some baLLs.

Pang, she is a beauty for sure. Just fantastic looks to it. Makes me want to dive in the screen and give it a big cuddle, ahaha.

Nice articl Westy, if not a bit confusing for my mind, he got that, crossed it whith that, later gavce a cut to him who stuck it up his bum and produced a really stinker from it,,,blah de blah....wow, who would have though it could get so confusing, lol.

Anyway's all the seeds have come from original DNA headband bagseed that was grown out and effectively produced nanner and gave me the seed you now have. So I guess these are another generation down the line. The Thelma cut I am growing is from the original bagseed from DNA's Headband of about 2 years ago.

The OG Kush is also from DNA, same linneage, and extremely rare to get seeds now (not available as far as I am aware), so if you got one, you lucky, (eh Mr West!! haha) I now have some OG kush seeds that I am trying that were backcrossed with one of the Headbands. 5 have popped so far, 1 is looking dreadful, the other 4 are already showing familiar OG Kush stretchy characteristics. Will let you guys know if it is worth while in a couple of months.
