Question on colonizing jars.

Sup guys had a little question on some jars colonizing and something with the sterilization process with a pc. Here they go first question is that when I put the jars in the pc they were filled all the way up. When they came out they were ab 3/4 full. Is this due to pressure? Second question is when they were knocked up the needle didn't go all the way down past the dry verm and some of the jars are actually showings signs of growth but on the glass and in the dry verm and slightly above it. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thanks. I'm a total noob at this.

Can't say I have seen the lebel drop during PC, but then , I cover the tops with foil....

About the spore shots, just give the jars a good shakeup, bang it with a shoe if its a little stuck together...

To be honest. When I made a few more jars. I had brf laying around. So I decided to do some pf tek style jars. I used synthetic filter discs on them ( 1 pints) and I had forgotten to put on the foil while pcing. The cakes in the jars had compressed to 3/4 size. I went forward with the inoculation and they are currently beginning to colonize. So yes. I too had a similar experience. But hey, they're still colonizing.

As long as you don't get extra water in it is ok, if you do, its a bitch and it normally comes to a slow slimey end.

God I hope not. I put foil over them when they went into the pc. I'm gonna give then a really good shaking and see what happens.

I doubt that you did. Even if you did. You can always make more. The next time you could always just use a grain or popcorn. No more pf tek shit. Shhiiiitttttt.
