questions about MOLASSES

I read a post the other day by what I consider a very reliable source. He'd looked into molasses, feeding some, and some none. Then he looked at them under a blacklight.
Loosely quoted " the buds w/o looked like buds, but the ones I'd molass-i-fied were as black as oil" I think he said "dripping from them."
Sold him. Sold me. I can't recall his dose, maybe 2TB's per . . . I do one and have seen quite an increase in the "presence" of my buds. I was skeptical and worried about bugs, but so far, about a month in, no such issues.

I was just saying you were right about hydro stores repacking mollases products for more $$$. Talking to the whole thread...

Mrsticky I've sen the very same thing under black light. The buds with mollasses are oily and denser looking under the black light. and if your speaking of panhead's post, he is reputable indeed.

And purplehaze is CORRECT, a lot of very expensive products at your hydro store are derived from mollasses. Still straight black mollasses is for soil only.
I did not debunk molasses entirely I just stated why and in what conditions it will work. I just don't want people to think that this is some kind of tool to make giant buds. It is a good use of a cheap product. Many additives in the hydro store add beneficial mircrobes (these are also in molasses) to your rez there are also a lot of additives out there that have little scientic research behind them to back them. I use molasses in my outdoor organic vegtable garden and my compost pile but there is no way you will see me pouring molasses into my hydro res so it can gunk up my fogger and clog my airstones. Please don't take what I say as a personal attack assrabbi its not. I'm simply trying to let people know the facts. Thats all I have to say about this :peace:

I disagree. you must grow both soil and hydro I presume,I grow hydro not soil so I dont know about soil but for the past 6 years of growing pot I know which one does better .I have a 6 pack hydro recirculating system and 2 pack recirculating system so I can test each clone in different nutrient solutions, the ones with the mollasses was denser and more sugar up.no class here just hands on.

if you would turn your system into a recirculating system you wouldnt have to have pumps air stones and foggers it sounds like you need to upgrade.the only reason you need all those pumps and bullshit is because your not getting enough oxegen, you shit just sits there there and never moves just when the plants want to eat.I would be glad to show you what a recirculating system looks like and you can make it out of your water farm.

Its ok man, I didn't take it as a personal attack at all. I was simply providing information that I have collected under different lights, nutes, and strains. You shouldn't accuse me of mythmongering or spreading misinformation when I did indeed do my homework, and I'm sure what I posted provided only beneficial info. What you were doing was trying to censor what I said because you disagreed, thats what pissed me off. CENSORS:finger::finger::finger:

It is a good source of carbs witch is needed during flowering. You can purchase a carb nutrient but why spend the moolah when Mollasses will give you the boost you need. There are many many opinions out there, not everyone agrees but remember this man, its ultimately up to you. You are the one that reaps the results not the next guy. Read around, do your homework and for the love of pete do yourself a favor and get second opinions always, even a third or fourth. Fancy terms and wit doesn't mean they are right. Purple has the right idea if ya ask me. Newgrowth, well sorry man, your idea of a myth is warped lol It's obvious its a good idea.
