Quick Cure Drying Rack

Well, since adv nutes impresses me so, I broke down and bought a quick cure rack.

Man, this thing is freaking huge!! So far, looks like i can fit about 600grm of wet buds per shelf w/o overlap. The design of the rack is so simple, yet seems to be of good quality.

Yea yea, i know... coulda got one that worked fine for less. However, I am one of those that wants the best, and will pay for it if I can afford it. I am very pleased with this rack.

I just started drying with it yesterday, and so far i like. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. Ive heard talk if it flattening your nugs, but damn the cloth seems soft.

I used to hang each branch up, but Im getting lazy. Hell, trim the nugz, weigh them, toss em in the rack. Ill update soon to how the entire process went with it. I plan on a week or less dry time, then about 2-4 wks curing in jars.

oh yea, one complaint. This damn thing is hard to fold up and put in bag. There's a damn trick to it. After 20minutes, I finally called my favorite hydro shop owner, and he helped me figure it out. Once you learn how to fold it, piece of cake. Now im pissed that advanced nutrients made me look and feel like a tard. Damnit, if it wasnt obvious then, it is now!!:eyesmoke:

Well, the rack has been in use for about 24hrs now. Room temp of about 76 with humidity of about 40%. I dont have a fan blowing directly on them so they wont dry too quickly. Seems like they may take about 4-7 days in here. Perfect!!!

This thing is still doing well. I dont notice the rack saggin under the weight of the wet nugs. Laying rather than hanging, i did notice the leaves are being flattened aginst the cloth. Awesome tho, i can flip the buds with a piece of manilla folder. So damn ez. once they get drier, the tiny bit of flattenin' wont be noticed. Once its crammed in a bowl, i think it'll be okay.

I think if one wanted to, they could hang the rack on a swivel, put a fan near the edge, and the damn thing will spin!! I shit you not, i was mesin with it and when i put a fan on it, it rotate so slowly, almost like a damn window display. If I ever get lucky enough to completely fill it, I will definately fan it and see if till spin and even out my drying.

They arent lying, this thing is huge. It measures 32" across and about 6' tall with all 3 sections on. Had to make sure i had room. I also noticed if you unbuckle just one of the snaps, you get enough room to dump a 2gal bucket in it. All in all, I am so stoked about this $60. damn i luv it when i spend money on shit that DOES work.

I'll update again as it finishes and give a summary. thanks for looking and happy growing!!

Now with this im assuming you still hang ur bud upside down for a few days, then put nugs on this rack for curing purposes? Or do they or you recommend another method? I can imagine this rack allows for the bud to dry evenly considering all the available air flow from top and bottom!!

Nope, Im too lazy to hang all those budz. Im going for the trim to perfection, toss in rack. Once dry to touch, gna put in big glass jars and burp for about 2weeks minimum. I cant bring myself to hang each branch again, I figure if it crushes the buds a tad (which it is), it wont be noticeable once they cure out. Besides, once they are ready to go cure, I gently roll each bud between my hands to tighen it for storing. I know I'm losing some trichs, but .... for my needs, I cant leave them fluffy. The bigger dense buds get their own jars, no rolling however.

The mesh is very soft, but im still getting a little flattening. Its the usual because of the buds weight. The buds are sticky, but not sticking to the material. Guessin that means less trichs are staying behind. Good deal, the rack will last longer and the buds stay coated. They buds are about 2 1/2 days in drying, and the smaller nugs are about ready for jars. Im thinkin the big budz are gna take another 36-48hrs. I could have dried faster with a fan, or slower by packin em in. The timing should be perfect for me, so Im extremely happy thus far.

Ill have a total recap and some pics in the next couple days, once the rack has gone through its duties for this go round. Thanks for your interest., Happy growing!!

Some blueberry curing. The Afghan Kush going to take longer. Took the blueberry 4 days to dry, thinking about 5 for the rest. Loved the results. The nugs were a tad flat, but they stayed sticky. Really a quick cure if you spread the nugs thin. As the nugs get closer to dry, I keep stacking them tighter in the rack. This seems to get me a nearly perfectly even dry from big chunk to little nug. I did hand rotate to help lessen flattening, but it happened. I will be hanging my trophy cola upsidedown to dry. Didnt notice any loses or problems with the rack. I enjoy the way I can hang it in the corner and spin it to fill. Ill give it my stamp of approval! If you are drying more than a few branches, and you prefer ease of drying evenly, vs perfect bag appeal, this may be the ticket for you. By the way, this blueberry was NOT a very successful plant for me this go, the Kush ended much finer.

have you ever seen those sweater racks? they kind of look the same except they are square instead of round.
I was looking at one today and thinking.. so much cheaper too.
that or I'm thinking one of those produce hangers that look like this and lining them with some mesh..
What do you think about trying one of those versus getting another one of these?

Probably the same thing. I mean, it is just a shelf with cloth. However, Im one of those people that isnt happy untill Ive the best in my possession. Kinda an obsession me thinks. best of luck to ya

Yea I hear you. The cloth was one reason why I didn't get it.
There was another one that has sort of vinyl type covering too and the hanging system looked cheesy, I like the one you show more.

Thanks for putting up your review - I haven't found any other reviews out there yet. Based on how the rack looked on the company website and your review, i picked up one of these. I still didn't have a sense for how big it was until i actually opened it up!
Hopefully after my fictional harvest this year i'll be able to put up a review as well :)

The dimensions on the product ad is NOT overstated. Actaully, a theoretical 1/4lb harvest dries within 3-5days on one of the shelves! I guess you could dry 1lb or more (4lbs wet) on this rack. My power bill wont allow me to run enough lighting to facilitate using more than just half this rack at a time. Just be sure you have a 3.5' area ready. happy growing!

Ya this thing is fucking huge. I was 2 inches from buying it but decided on Crystal Mountain's "The Rack". It was 18$ cheaper with zippers. But I gotta say if I had the space I would've got this rack. It's beautiful. The material is anti-fungal and very durable and every rack can be taken off.. Advanced Nutrients win's again.

Actually the racks come apart in two's. It would be so damn nice if every rack came apart! Only pita is you cant dump the racks out one at a time. Gotta hand move those nuggies! Didnt know they were anti-fungal, but I could believe it. Never really seen a mesh quite like these. Hows the zippers going? I read somewhere that over time, the zippers get sticky? Of course, if you got that many stray trichs, perhaps its time to afford a new one.
