Nice plants! Glad your clones survived. I read briefly on your silver experiments. I'd be up for trying them if I ever come across another seed but I'll probably be sticking with these Moms for some time. I am considering buying a purple kessil to add to some fluro t8s for my vegging cab so it will be a nice learning experience here!

Nothing to stop you making some fem seeds from the Moms you are using for clones - if nothing else, it would be good practice and you would see just how easy the Colloidal Silver method.

Is your vegging cab not performing well enough with the fluros - Kessils are great but I find they are expensive when used as supplementary lighting. I simply ripped out all of my CFLs and replaced them with 2 Purple Kessils ... no need for any other lights.

... and welcome aboard, I'll try to keep the thread rambling on :-)

Seeds from my mamas would be pretty wild - and I good way to keep back up too.

I have T8s but they're long (48") so I was going to mount them vertically for side lighting and use either an led or a t5 panel for my over-head lights. My plants vegged decently but I can do better. I was going to get them a 250w mh but the cabinet I'm making will get too hot for that.

Note to self

Do not piss around with your plants when you are stoned.

Was checking how my grafting was going last night and it seems that I may have been a little heavy handed, plus opening up the humidity containing baggie and not resealing it didn't help.
The scion is droopy today and there is a good chance that I have fucked up the graft.

Ah well, I will just have to do it again.

On a happier note, I have been waiting with increasing frustration for my Hawaiian Snow to germinate and I can see a tiny root starting to emerge from the seed. I was about to plant some other strain (Pineapple Chunk) as I thought that the HS was a non-starter.

Damn man, I hope they pulled through! Looking forward to grafting updates!
I'm learning as I go and the next attempt will be in a day or two. I nearly had it the last time and am still confident that I'll get it working.

I have a couple of Red Dragon clones that should produce a nice healthy scion, so I'll try to stick a Red Dragon on L.S.D.

I'll have to take a few more pikkies of what's happening.

Ok, so more pikkies of my playpen.

I have just prepped a Red Dragon clone so I can take a scion to try to graft tomorrow.

To minimise moisture loss later, I removed large fan leaves and topped the plant ... the cut will be made below the top 2 shoots and this time I will leave the grafted plants well alone until the graft is secure.

This will become the scion ....

Still on subject of Red Dragon plants - here is the current Red Dragon SCROG ... starting to bud up nicely with lots of small colas.

Following quickly and getting ready for the next flowering spot is my Magic Bud hempy SCROG, the screen should be fitted in about a weeks time ... maybe longer, and I will try to fill the screen this time.

110119MB 4 way SCROG A.jpg

110119 MB 4 way SCROG B.jpg

I'll let it veg undisturbed for at least another week (if I can resist messing with it). It looks like I'll be getting about 24 colas plus popcorn buds.
I'm hoping that growing in hempy pots will produce more vigorous plants - well it can't be slower than my last soil grown Red Dragon.

Other than these plants I still have my L.S.D. pheno 1 original plant plus 4 clones in hempy pots.
Plus the L.S.D. pheno 2 that I will be attempting to graft onto again tomorrow.
Plus a clone of the Magic Bud that is undergoing Colloidal Silver sex change, and ...
a brand new seedling of Hawaiian Snow, took her time sprouting but is healthy looking (although small).

Thanks for dropping by Dwezelitsame - you can obviously tell that I like playing around with my girls.
The Red Dragon has 16 tops/colas already through the screen and about 36 in total - if I average 1g per cola off the Red Dragon I will be more than happy.
The next time I do a Red Dragon SCROG I will be growing fresh plants from my home made feminised seeds in hempy pots - will be interesting to compare hempy vs soil with the same strain.

You mean this pic ... ?

Do you want a photo of the actual pot? It's just a 12 inch square pot (about 12 inch deep as well) with a hole drilled a couple of inches up from the bottom ... nothing to see really.
The mix is 3 parts perlite to one part vermiculite.
The 4 clones were rooted directly into the same mix (and they nearly died) before being initially grown in small individual hempy pots (made from shampoo bottles).
When I replanted them all into the one large pot, I leaned them over at about 45 degrees so that the 8 main branches fan outwards leaving the middle clear (it will soon fill up).

As usual, I will fit my screen directly to the pot. I'm looking at about 24 colas from that potful of clones.

Have you flowered the magic bud before?

Just be careful how long you veg for because they put on quite a show in the first weeks of 12/12 going from small plants to big plants very quickly, not a bad thing i guess if you have the room and light.

Thanks for the "heads up" ... at least I won't be worrying about them being stunted.

As each of the 4 clones has 6 or more branches, hopefully the stretch will be lessened as the plants have to divide their growth between all the branches - sharing the one pot should also keep them in check ... but I have the height available if they want to stretch.

I was just looking at the Magic Bud when I was checking on my latest grafting attempt, and I'll probably be switching to 12/12 in 2 or 3 days.

I'm not having a lot of luck with Greenhouse Seeds, first "The Church" failed to germinate now the "Hawaiian Snow", which took 11 days to germinate, is looking like it would prefer to be dead.

In anticipation of the HS being dead soon, I just started 2 White Widow seeds - third time lucky with GHS seeds ... hopefully.

I have a lot of faith in paradise seeds, magic bud and belladonna are both awesome. Next order id like to get white berry but that wont be for a while as i just ordered some other seeds.

watch VERY carefully your roots when you use a hempy they can get rootbound REALLY fucking fast and if they do its not like in soil they die overnight thats how i lost one of my blue dream mothers hempis i have decided are not stable enough for mothers so i've gone back to rock wool but that being said hempy buckets work like champs and grow shit super fucking fast. Just be careful and watch your roots and you should have a lot of fun with the hempy buckets shit grows hella fast in em.

I admit to not knowing much about LEDs. Following along to learn a thing or two. Good luck.

LED's are quite nice if you get a good one. There's honestly not many cheap ones that are worth the money but there are a few. If you like i could link you to an LED thread but im more interested in grumpys grafting. I found a western gardening book at my house today that goes into it a bit seems fairly simple if you are careful. I honestly liked air layering instead of pulling a straight clone it explained it nice with pics in the book i got super easy to pull a clone and if it doesnt work you didnt just lose a branch off of your plant lol.

The latest attempt at grafting is still looking good, but unlike the last attempt - I am leaving this one alone till I'm sure that the graft has taken (or not).
It's an ongoing experiment and so far I have learnt that patience is needed :-)

And thanks for the heads-up about the roots with mothers in hempy pots.

You won't learn a lot about L.E.D.s with this thread, I use Kessil H150 lights which are nothing like normal L.E.D. panels.
The thread "LED Users Unite" is full of conflicting information and the title is a joke as most L.E.D. users are convinced that their light is the best and greatest.
I don't use L.E.D. panels, some are much better than others and some are not, I use Kessil lightswhich are so totally different from any other light on the market that they deserve to be in a category by themselves.

By the way, I am very pleased with the way the Kessil lights work especially considering the very low power consumption.
