"None of these were hikes you’d put on a bucket list, or even walks you’d tell a visitor to take. They were simply walks. Together, as a family.
I never really thought of it as a tradition — until I had my own kids. Now I recognize the tradition for what it is, and I want to keep it alive."

The wife and I combine mother's day and father's day. We make the kids hike o.k. slip falls in upstate ny with us. 10miles round trip, beautiful trails, 80' waterfall at the end. Last year the kids split after we got to the falls. They were home by 9pm. Me and the wife didn't get out of the woods until 1am. Highly recommend it.

If you believe in prayer, pray for this Lady and her family.
If not, send good vibes.

That’s crazy. What in gods name were the complications from a kidney stone procedure? Do we have a Dr. in the house? That is usually a simple procedure. I smell malpractice and a huge pay check for the Jesus freak. My heart goes out to her. I just met someone who had his leg amputated from a botched knee replaced. The Dr who did the procedure cut some blood vessels and put them back together incorrectly.

Side note: BB had to deal with a situation that required prior auth, additional testing, etc but the issuing pharmacy had a very nice personable lady who handled EVERYTHING for me in ONE day. Made all the phone calls to Plan D/Doctor's office, even to a fund source that paid the copay for a very expensive drug ($1000 per pill). Didn't cost BB anything more than the standard Medicare deductible(s). Couldn't believe it.

@Aeroknow I think you were talking about how you were obsessed with horchata one day like months or years ago lol. And I had never heard of such a thing being in the NE of this country. And it stuck in my mind that I wanted to try it. So I looked up a recipe last night and picked stuff up and made it this morning. Yeah pretty good.
