I am 40 years past the legal drinking age and have been shaving a gray beard for near 20.
I was carded this morning.
I kept a Stoic composure, complied with the request without query or quip.
It was a young kid, probably his first gig. Just doing his job.
He may have considered I was LEO or a Corporate spy.

No one tells you that when you become an adult you have to pay for a lot of things you don't want to pay for. But they also don't tell you that you can buy string cheese whenever you want and eat as much as you want. So I'm still trying to debate if this grown up thing is a fair trade or not.

I was watching On Patrol: Live and yet another one of these "sovereign citizens" was busted for no plates, etc.
How can they think this actually works and or gets them out of a ticket?

Grandson #3 had been dating a Hispanic woman for a couple of years.
I got a chance to meet her Christmas 2022.
She was 420 friendly and interested in how rosin was pressed.
Fast-forward to the present.
At the last family B-day party this past March, #3 was with an ex-girlfriend.
I thought it odd but asked no question about who he was knocking boots with.
Come to find out through the grapevine his Hispanic GF kick his ass to the curb
because she caught him Jerking Off to a pic of his ex-(Indian)GF. The ex at the Bday party.LOL
This was not too surprising to me, but still I was shocked to hear this story from my wife.
My first question was, "Why do you, Grandma, know this story?"
Seems #3 confided in his brother, Grandson #1.
That was all it took. #1 went and spilled the LOL story to their Mother, and Mom could not wait to call and add to Grandma's entertainment.

Might be a lil early but I don't give a damn, I started everything too early and they need sun and dirt so bad. I've planted 200 Yaya hybrid carrots in the bed next door already, and all of my red gold potatoes in another bed. Here I've planted red baron bunching onions, walla walla sweet yellow onions, lots of kraprow holy basil, parsley, one single sad lonely romaine (it was the only one that germinated lol) and a space for a few lemongrass when I can get my mitts on some.
at the end of the year last year the U of M posted a new, revised, garden zones map for the state of Minnesota. If you're gardening this year, i would check to see if your zones have changed any, too. My area went from 4b to 5a!

Sitting at a table with a bunch of family and my wife, after a few wines, asks the waitress, maybe 21 y/o, good looking, if she can take a pic, stressing everyone needs to be in it. I (in my head lol) was like yeah right it's not a 360degree camera why oh why are you putting that poor nice girl in that position... girl looks at me notices the horror on my face and I could just read her mind... "challenge accepted". Taps a few buttons and aims and with a single shot, defying all logic and every laws of physics, everyone makes it into the photo, face, smile and all. She hands back the phone to my wife and she walks away, looks at me once more and again sends me a telepathic message: "instagram generation, boomer".
Gotta respect that.
