Random Jabber Jibber thread

My husband's papa is dying. It's cancer, we knew this was coming, it's been years of struggle and he is tired. He's lived a whole life with post polio syndrome and it's amazing He's made it this far. He is a scientist that invented test kits still widely used today in veterinary medicine.

I'll take advice from anyone who's been here before.
I think it's best to let his dad know that he's loved and that he made a difference as an inspiration in your life and brightened the lives of others by helping their pets.

Truly sorry.

I know a guy who can weld tubing like that, which must pass NDT inspection and leak test to 1.0E-7 SCCS Helium @ 500 PSIG.
Some guys just got the talent.

If you have an interest in the "Titantic" (ship) and specifically the tragic story of the underwater exploration company OceanGate's submersible "Titan", that imploded in June 2023 while diving on the wreck, Vanity Fair has written several articles about the disaster. This month's issue has a countdown based on interviews with first responders. You should be able to read it here. If you run against a paywall try deleting cookies, etc as they do allow some free read of articles.

This an article from August of last year
