They're growing quick now that they've been transplanted into the pots and FFOF soil. I can tell a difference in 2 of them between this morning and now, pretty cool I thought.

I think it's more important to go by how the plants look than how old they are though. Wouldn't you agree?
of course but just by personal experience and the simple fact i never done soil grows whenever my plants reach 3-4 weeks those girls are ready for whatever just cause hydro makes plants grow a bit faster but in your case they need a bit more time

Something occurred to me last night, I started talking about topping these plants but I'm not planning on flowering them. These are going to be mothers for a round or two of clones so I don't need to top them. I just need them to be healthy, strong LADIES (fingers crossed) so I can get some good clones from them. A buddy of mine has already said he wants to pick up whatever clones I decide not to use @ $10 each so that should cover what I paid for the seeds :-P

I may start some LST though to speed up lower branch production and then Supercrop them to get the lower branches to grow quicker.

Trying to decide what to do with the autos I got as freebies. Not sure if I should germ one or two and stick them in soil and put them in the flower room next to my hydro tray so I can get a small harvest between what's in there now and the Raspberry Cough and Afgan Kush I'll be putting there.

Or, I could grow them separately in a small tent with some other lights I have.

Or, I could just hang on to them and maybe get a few more down the road to go with them and do a run of autos only in the hydro.

I like the first one obviously because it means I get weed in between getting weed :bigjoint:

I like the second one because it means a less crowded flower room.

I don't really like the last one too much because I'm an impatient bastard.

Thanks!
I'm hoping to go at least 2 for 5 with those reg RC seeds. The Afgan are Fem seeds so I'm so concerned with them, you never know though.

+rep for ya

the afghan kush is amazing and it will stay small throughout the growing period so i wouldnt worry about the afghan too much but u can still train it to maximize bud potential

Haha, just read what I posted. It was supposed to say I'm NOT so concerned with them, lol.

I'll start to train the bigger ones of the bunch within the next week and play it by ear with the rest of them. The Afgan are staying really short and compact, true Indica right there.

Yeah I wish I could get Sour Grapes seeds too. The one I have was a clone I took from a clone I bought at a dispensary. This one's mother gave me 2 1/2oz dry under a 400W HPS. Tastes awesome too...
sour grapes is a clone only strain created by oaksterdam in oakland

so i just read thru the thread. you said you shouldnt top your mother? thats exactly what you will be doing when you take your clones. so when you get to the 4th node you can uncle ben top it for 4 main colas or 2 and then you should have some nice tops to take good clones from.

check this guy out he has a huge sour grapes grow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I98m-JJMBPs
he also has tons of grow vids on all topics

I thought it was but wasn't sure. I only knew of it from an Oaksterdam catalog I got from a dispensary. Later, when I saw a bunch of Sour Grapes clones at a different place I knew I wanted it based on the description in the catalog.

I've always taken cuttings from the bottom and with a good success rate except for the SLH, only time I ever tried the top was when I had a mother get too tall so I topped it and tried to root the top but it didn't work. It was a pretty big cutting though with a pretty thick stalk and I think that's why it didn't take, too woody I guess you'd say.

The guy in the vid is a bit annoying with all of the 'yeah' every few seconds but, DAMN!! 6lbs of Sour Grapes!!

Looked like he was using 4 1000w lamps judging by the 4 big ass ballasts you can see in the first vid.

Can't find my jig saw or my can light hole saw...trying to figure out how I'm going to get a clean 6" hole cut in the plywood that is the ceiling of my grow room for the bigger ducting. I used a 4" hole saw for what's there now.

I was thinking I'd change things up a bit and attach my carbon filter to one end of the cooltube and 6" ducting to the other with the other end of the ducting attached to the fan I use for the room exhaust. It's on a dimmer switch to control the speed so I could just turn it up a bit. Only problem is there's a 4" hole where there needs to be a 6" one, lol.

Right now I have a different fan to exhaust the heat from the light. It draws air from the garage, near the floor, through the light and exhausts it back into the garage near the ceiling. I'd like to eliminate one fan since I'm already going to be adding power usage with the bigger light.

So, since I couldn't find my saws, I hooked up the 600 with cooltube to the 4" ducting. I just rerouted things a little and am now using the fan that used to only exhaust the room air through a DIY carbon filter. Now the fan is pulling the air through 2 of my carbon filters connected to a 'T', through the light and then out of the room through the ceiling. I'll upsize the ducting to 6" later but for today, it's all I could do.

I'll try to get pics after the ligh comes on tonight.

That's crazy, 20 lights.

Here'a some pics I took when the light came on tonight. The 4" is most likely temp so I just used duct tape to connect it to the cooltube. So far though it is cool to the touch so who knows, I may just leave it how it is. If so I'll put some hose clamps on it and strap up the ducting so it's not hanging down like in the pics.

I'll start germing an auto seed or two tonight to put next to the hydro tub so I can a small intermediate harvest, not sure which ones yet.

I've got Haze auto, Critical + Auto, and Roadrunner auto. Any opinions?

Accidentally left the rotisserie for my grill plugged in last night and it started raining in the middle of the night. The outside plugs are on the same circuit as my flower room due to wanting it on a GFI so when the cord got wet, the GFI tripped and my light shut off. Fortunately it waited until just passed 6 to trip so the girls only lost about 45-50 minutes of their light.

I have the materials to run a new dedicated circuit from the panel to the grow rooms but have been too lazy. Maybe I should get that taken care of on my next day off, huh?
