Rdwc, roots crushing it, but stunted vegetation. End of 2nd wk veg.

Checked for bugs and no bugs. Ph whole time has been anywhere between 5.8-6.3 which is always where I've kept it n the past with no problems. Ph and ec meter both seem to be working fine. Thinking maybe some bad cal mag causing lockout. maybe bad drip clean not doing its job. Maybe bad silica. Potentially could be magic green I sprayed on them ~4days after transplant (at the lower recommended dosage). Not faulty DNA, this is the fourth time in a row with this. Took cuts from one buddy, then another differ buddy, and one more. I use RO well water that comes at 0 after RO. Everytime this has happened it does the same thing:roots start crushing it, veg growth stunts, leafs curl down, then shoots pistils. This issue is really cramping my sides. Really appreciate all your input. I'll take pics of the veg growth later under some white light.
Genetics fem? auto potentially? Clones? Seeds?
My theory is too much light. You have x12 1k over them? Or did I read that wrong.

No changes in the last 24. Heck, no changes in the last week or so except the roots development.

Not the genes. Not auto flower. So far this has happened to the second round of cherry pie I had in there. Some snow land. And now gorilla glue 4.

I don't think it's too much light. I have almost been doing everything the same as I have the past runs in terms of my procedure. I did start using a new root enhancer called pure nutrients ROOTS. Comes in silver bottle similar to the silver roots excelurator. However, I used this in my GH and had no problems.
Going back to the foliage feeding of magic green. I always spray new transplants with MG a day or so after entering the system. So it could be that, buuuuut, I also sprayed MG on the GH run I did at maybe 3wks flower and no ill effects. Perhaps the bigger cherry pies I sprayed at3 wks flower had no ill effects because they were more mature???

Pics of the issue under sunlight and the new bottle of root enhancer I'm using. Read a fair amount yesterday about people having problems with botanicares cal mag plus and it causing lockouts because its gone bad. Wouldn't I get discoloration with a lockout eventually? Tomorrow I'm buying all brand new nutrients and starting something inside under a new light.

Empty cocktail, organic KY, a knife, a Dear John letter, and a bottle of root enhancer. I like your style sir, lol.

Sure looks like over-feeding to me. Start omitting things and keep it really simple.

Only use the A&B for 1 week and see what happens. Keep the EC nice and low...0.8 or so.
What is the EC/PPM of your water?

Haven't completely ruled out magic green. It could be the cause. I'm going to avoid it next round. Or just test it on one plant. Air pump seems to be running as it did when I first bought it.

Right now my ec in the system is .2, it was .6, but I dumped a bunch out and added straight RO water and that brought it down to .2 where it has been since Friday.

Hot diggity: you think a&b plus recommended dosage of drip clean also? With running aqua flakes and depending on the strain I can max around 2.2-2.4 ec and get a nice yield. If I max around 1.7 ill usually get a much better flavor.

Vumar: elaborate, not sure I'm picking up on your reference ;)

@ttystikk - I'm surprised to hear you running such aggressive nutes. For me, I get burn at around 0.95 EC.
You burn at .9 EC? Something must be wrong with your meter or your nutrients. I am not one to push nutes on a plant but 1.0 EC is base feed for a mid-sized flowering plant for myself.

I was surprised too. But this is my 2nd run with the NFT and it is what it is.

You can't make such claims saying .9 EC is "high EC" with it only being your 2nd run. This is also the DWC/Bubbleponics sub-section. NFT methods are slightly different than DWC strategies.

So it's been 4 days since adding RO water and reducing EC to .2 and seems to be bouncing back. New growth coming up lighter green. Seem to be doing more stretching. Went and got all new nutrients the other day. Will introduce the new nutes sometime next week starting out super low, ~.3, and will raise it from there. I'm really only left to assume that something with one of my nutes went off. Got too temperature hot and messed with something. I've always dropped babies into system using all the same nutes at (or +/-.1ec) .5 ec. Bought a new EC meter and ph meter, neither of those was the problem.

My question now: do I scrap these or do I ride it out? Any of you have any decent success stories of getting a decent (lb/1k) finish when you've had an issue like this in the beginning. I've had smaller issues happen in veg before and had a tolerable finish, but this has been my worst since starting. They're just starting wk 3 now. Might need to veg for 2 more wks.

Also, huge thanks to all of you for the input and pressing me with questions because it helps me to think more and search more about what the problem could be. Kudos to all of you!!!!!!
