Really scared for my little ladies (curling up leaves), please help I'm a 1st timer!

So basically the young girlies (6 freebies from nirvana) are about 10-11 days since breaking soil now, and most of them are curling up the sides of their leaves.

I'm growing with the following:

soil with 2x 135W 5500K and 2x 20W 2700K CFLs.
2 fans= 1 input (bottom) and 1 extract (top).
Nirvanas soil tabs (1/4 tablet in each girl).
Mineral water for watering.
Different sized pots (experimenting).
Mylar from reflection.

The temp is pretty constant at 24-26 degrees Celsius, which I hear is pretty good, however my humidity ranges from 37-50% mostly around 40% which I don't think is very good for vegging but I cant really seem to higher it and don't have the possibilities atm to buy a humidifier.
Ph I don't know as I haven't gotten around to buying a tester yet.

The lights started at about 1 inch from the plants until I noticed the curling and since then I put them up to 5" from the tops. However it did not change anything, I read that this is probably heat stress but with the temperatures stated above??

I know it is a very small 'pot', but I'm not planning on vegging for long, was actually planning on topping/FIM'ing now and flower after recovery and I hear it is ok to do so in a small container such as the one I'm using for this girl. Please tell me if I am wrong as I am a 1st timer and not too sure, all I know is from many days shadowing the forum here :)

Please if anyone has any idea what is happening here please tell me and also if you think I could still top them although this is happening (new growth has not stopped).

whats your water / feeding schedual. i see two things. possibility of over water. or the soil being to damp, ie; not enough drainage. and possibly heat stress. also not all plants have perfect leaves. so the mis shapen part i wouldnt freak out about till later. but the leaves curling up at the side of the leaves only says heat stress. personaly i would raise the lites just a little bit for about 5 hrs and see if the curling goes away. and also i would put them in a humidity dome. seedlings love humidity and heat. any where from 70 to 80 deg for seedlings.. good luck

See the leave margins, edges are curled thats a temperature thing, keep a temp. gauge in there, and monitor your temps...this is how you do it, 1 liter or 2 pints of soil for every week the plants are with you...or 1 gallon per month, 2 month autos 2 gallons, full season photos for 28 weeks say 30 liters or 8 us gallons more space if you got the room or are on organic hot nutes, remember roots don't like light, FIM on the 4th or 5th lateral, time to pot up, avoid trying it your way...until you got some experience

Thanks for your reply, and yes there was a little bit of overwatering there, but she almost fully recovered from that (learned my lesson) there's pretty good drainage I just went completely over the top with the watering. I might try to remove one of the 135W cfls and see if that helps, dont really want to take the lights any higher because theyre cfls they dont really work at greater distances from the plants. Might also try the humidity dome idea, maybe a 5litre bottle cut the bottom and put it over plants?

As mentioned before the temps are pretty steady at around 25 degrees celsius, but I will try to take away one of the 135W cfls and see if that helps.
In relation to the pot size, I will take your advice and not try such a small container (will repot to a bigger one now) till I have a bit more experience. She is now on her 3rd node and I can see new growth for the 4th appearing, so you think it would be ok to FIM soon?

Raise the lights they are too close. Make it 12" . It will still take a week for the leaves to get back to normal. Don't top them they are far too short.

Thanks, will try that, but thought that would be too far away for CFLs, no?

No even cfls can get too hot for seedlings, that close its about 30 deg between the top and the light.

Thanks alot everyone, I've moved the lights quite a bit, might also add a bit more ventilation as well. Don't really want to change too much at once, otherwise I'll never know what the problem was.
Going to wait a few days and see what happens, it seems that they all have a bit of curling but the one I posted is the most obvious one and much worse than any of the other 5.

I guess no-one's reading this anymore, anyhow, short update... She died!!! :( pretty sad but oh well... the other 5 and doing really well.
Now I'm just left wondering, is there such a thing as 'faulty seeds'? I mean, they all had exactly the same conditions from the beginning and only 1 had big problems, maybe it just had a weaker 'metabolism'?
