no just pointing out that nobody is dissing jerry, jerry's good rep stands for itself and that you don't have to go around dissing another vendor. why do you care so much ? is jerry paying you a sales comission?
Why would I need commission when I own Kingbrite lol just kidding but I get first dibs when the new bins come out that's all I asked from Jerry and that's why I'm the first to have 6500K DD bin and have the new CXA 2 3590 5600K BD I bought all 10. He'll be getting more and I'll know before you. Jerry is my friend I chat with him a lot on trade manager. Some guy on here was saying Jerry's price is to high compared to cutter and the discount code that's why I posted what I posted.

when will the 6500K DDs be commonly available (or when will you give up 4 of them ;) )
There is 6500k DB available and I have 2 DD left and I'm thinking of putting on ebay for auction lol starting bid $75 just kidding. I'll keep them and maybe add them to a 3500k panel.

emailed cutter to ask where's my track # said they be closed till the 11th & stated that was posted on their site
I never seen it & i've been looking at a few days straight before ordering & don't recall seeing any post by Mark about the holiday
Did I miss him say that & I'm the complete ass here
I entered the site at mark sig each time & then a bookmark
she said all orders ship on the 11th :(
i wonder if that;s just in stock as their fine print states they have 2 days to source non-stocked items

Bonjour
They do not anticipate how big is cob market!
And the need of drivers for cxb...!
If they do not have driver before the end of the month Jerry will have my $!

cutter back tracked & now admit to not informing me on the conformation email about any holiday closure .
offered to refund but it's friday there & the 11th is monday .
I just don't like being mislead about shipping lead times & most importantly weather the part actually is in stock
as another RIU member ordered & got a shipping tracking # on the same day I ordered
IE; he got the last of stock & they went on holiday . with a Cree delivery on monday the 11th morning thru sourcing from AU Cree distributor

Bonjour
I guess west coast is closer from china than France...not east coast...!
I will ask for 10 cxb3590 3500ºk cd and 2 hlg-240-1400b plus holder and 90º kb reflector shipped to France...I am not sure about the 4000ºk db 70cri...I would have preferred 80cri!
And for a vegg panel some cxa 2530 or 2540 5000ºk...9 on an hlg-185-700b!

Cutter is only $1 cheaper than Kingbrite with the code. But 1 thing I noticed is Cutter doesn't have the stock Kingbrite does or even the bins and without the cutandroll discount code you pay a 10% GST regardless. Jerry is still the man for me and will continue to buy from him. Where was cutter a year ago when I needed deals on cobs and now he see's Jerry killing it with sales now Cutter wants some of the action but doesn't have CXB3590 3500k CD in stock right now and doesn't have 6500k either.
Guys
Want to point out couple of things
  1. no GST on sales outside Aus
  2. 3.5% PP/CC only
I dont know Jerry and certainly not here to take his action. I was here a couple of years ago promoted illumitex, got no love on that. Where was Jerry 10 years ago when we became a Cree distributor. We have a long association with Cree and were here to drive down prices on Cree. We have invested in stock to support your guys but its early days so our profile is being built based on what you need, so far you have cleaned us out on 3500k with not much interest in any other CCT, so we need to understand what you want before we build stock. What I can assure you is that if you need 1000 pcs of 3590 in 3500K Cree will ship them into me in 2 days. Your support of me will mean more sales which means lower prices, the power always lies with the customer so exert it
Cheers

Realstyles and ChurchHaze, do you think plants would benefit by adding deep blue T5s, specifically (ATI True Actinic and Coral plus) together with the Cree CXB3590's?
I think you're asking the wrong people; you don't ask the butcher to help you find the freshest vegetables. Ask someone who specialises in the type of lighting you are asking about, like @RM3 . He's been doing testing on exactly these lamps and will have some first hand information for you.

The deep blue isn't really what you want these lamps for; turns out they give off a fair amount of UVB, and THAT'S the stuff that makes frost.

.

neither of these fluoros put out a significant amount of UVB.

The first is a 450nm blue fluoro, spectrum wise its better than a royal blue because its a wider richer spectrum. however efficiency is very low compared to cobs.

The second is actinic blue. This can be usefull to enrich the 400-440 nm range (actinic blue), and
this is NOT UVA (<400nm). These are a nice supplement to cob lighting to widen the spectrum, but the actinic blue leds are more efficient.

if you want to cover the whole UVA+actinic range inexpensively then get some reptile T5s. UVA and UVB leds are kinda pricey

Have YOU tested or run these lamps?

I was directing the poster to someone in the process of testing these very lamps, right now.

Straight from the horse's mouth, if you like...

FWIW, it seems that @RM3 is getting good results from them, too.

yes I have grown with both types and still have some running that are slowly being phased out, as I build new wide spectrum led units.

Cool- I've been interested in following along with someone who is trying to get UVB from led light sources.

The only difference I would have made on this light, would to have been put small 5/16" holes next to each chip lok connector so you could bend the wire up through it and string the wires on the top of the heatsink just to keep it all looking legit. But I wish you'd take some close ups of all the wiring. It's the one thing I'd love to have detailed pics of to follow so I don't screw up cause I want my fan to run when I plug it into the wall just like this and I still don't really get what you did. I plan on making this exact light, but with a 4.85" x36" heat sink with 5 cxb3590s on a 185 1050a and a fan in the center just as you have.
