Ive read in a few places that there is no way to know if a certain trait will be dominant or recessive without testing out a specific strain, but I don't entirely believe that. There have got to be some traits that are generally more dominant in all cannabis strains. For those of you that have crossed two very different strains, can you tell me what you have observed as far as what would be more dominant...
1. Long Flowering vs short flowering
2. Tall vs short
Those two I have a gut feeling would be more "black and white" as to which would be more dominant/recessive. I do however, based on my understanding of genetics, guess that certain traits such as smell, taste, potency, and even color are more likely based on a more complex set of genes such as the color of our eyes. I would also like to know if anyone has personal experience comparing the offspring of a cross between two similar hybrids and a cross between an indica dominant and a sativa dominant strain and if you were able to notice a difference in "hybrid vigor"?
