You have to remember you are buying a light system, in most cases. In 2 years, you can change the COBs, just like light bulbs, for a newer, more efficient and cheaper COBs.

A lot of these new COB lights are using solderless connectors. So, upgrading is as simple as changing out a CPU chip on a computer
