The hydro store has a Magnum XXXL 8" reflector used for $125 I didn't have the cash on me to get it so I had'em hold it and I'm gonna get it next time I'm over there and maybe a 600w MH conversion bulb since I only have HPS - I'm gonna see if it can go with no venting with the a/c running before I vent the light... I'm thinking with the 600w the a/c might be able to keep everything cool with no fan even. Pretty sure once I upgrade to a 1K it's going to be needed for sure. It's a pretty sweet reflector they go for almost $300 new and you can't save online because the shipping makes them more expensive than local even

Reef I have the same a/c unit and it does pretty well provided its not 90 plus outside. Just wish there was a way to make it a dual hose. I plan on replacing mine with a mini split hopefully in the next 3 months

Yeah well it's almost always over 90 here in the summer, but the room already has AC like I said it's just that the a/c can't keep up with all the lights even with the door to the room open... i'm thinking the a/c will hopefully be able to handle lights on for the LEDs and a 600w hps... we'll see... the real question is can the electrical handle it... i may have to run an extension in there from another room for the lights if the ac trips the circuit. Hoping it won't.

Unfortunately a mini split or window unit were not feasible options since it would involve notifying the landlord or not and having them find out later... this I can do with no changes to the house and no need to notify Also will be easy to take it with me to someplace new... when we move from here we're probably going to be buying someplace so plan to put in something better then but I'm sure there'll always be something I can use this one for.

I've been trying to figure out what I want to do for veg... i'm thinking of setting up a 2 level cab opposite my flower cab.... will have to figure out how to work that to keep the light from leaking between veg and flower. We'll see.

Got my new permanent clone chamber... translucent plastic rubbermaid style bin about 3'+ long and 1.5' wide and 1.5' tall... lid snaps on... i think it should work pretty well will give me enough space and not be so flimsy as my old cheap ass plastic one from the hydro store. Now I'm ready to take some clones tomorrow

This is the TW8 cutting, my likely keeper pheno... just after tieing down... has over 30 colas buildin'... bigger and with 3x as many colas as last round, when it yielded 3.5z... also in super soil now and a pot twice as big (2.4g vs 5)

I'm liking the ac unit so far... it seems to be having no problem it was keeping it down around 72 so 78 is no problem... i'm sure it should be able to handle a 600w in there but not sure on a 1k... i'm thinking I may get a bigger LED instead of a 1K. The heat and electric from adding a bigger led should be pretty minimal. I had to put 6 of the LEDs on extension chords to the next room over so they'd be on a different circuit -- the a/c unit tripped the circuit in less than an hour with the lights and ac all plugged into the outlets in the same room. So adding another layer to lack of stealth... but it is quiet, I doubt you would hear it from outside without leaning your head against the door... another reason not to get a 1K (adding a noisy fan to vent it and making more noise)... as it is if you shut the lights off and unplug those extensions and leave the door shut it's pretty unnoticeable.

It was not cheap... $399 from home depot but it's pretty nice, and definitely needed now the girls can have a nice climate controlled environment... it also has a dehumidifier mode built in and it's on wells so I can either use the grow area as a dry room (it's already got tons of places to hang branches) and not worry about mold

Where are you feeding the exhaust on that ac unit ? That was my main problem with my portable.

Yeah that is one of the big reasons I moved it to this room (the other being the old room was right next to our front door ). The old room did not have any windows this room has a window right next to the cab so the ac is venting out the window. It's doing a pretty good job so far, but it's only keeping LEDs cool right now.

I'm getting ready to head up and do some gardening in my nice cool room it feels amazing when you stand in front of that ac vent

Getting ready to go check on the girls... flowering time starts sometime this week i'm just waiting for a couple to get a little bigger... the aces are all ready to flower nice big stems...

i'm moving a couple of LEDs into a closet and moving 3 girls in there so I have more space in the main cab... already running out and haven't even hit flower

I wasn't gonna order the JC2, but everything else has a lot of indica in it, so I decided I needed some sativa to balance it out.

Gonna use half my flower space to get a perpetual going and be starting 6 seeds of a different strain every 2 weeks. I expect to get 4 females out of each batch of seeds (on average).

So....

This week: 6 Ace of Spades
2 weeks from now: 6 JC2
4 weeks from now: 6 Qush (if the new seeds come in, I will probably start Mickey Kush instead this week)
6 weeks from now: 6 Mickey Kush
8 weeks from now: 6 Pennywize
10 weeks from now: 6 Dr Who
12 weeks from now: 4 Qush+2 Ace of Spades
14 weeks from now: 4 JC2+2 Ace of Spades, first Aces getting harvested (3rd week Sept)
16 weeks from now: 4 Mickey Kush + 2 Pennywize, first Qush getting harvested (1st week Oct)
18 weeks from now: 4 Dr Who + 2 Pennywize, first Qush getting harvested getting (3rd week Oct)

So all these seeds are going to be germed by the 3rd week of October

What am I going to do with all those cuttings? Good question. I'm going to have to start getting a LOT more selective on keepers for one... but other than narrowing down keeper choices a lot more after first seed run the plan is to start adding more flower space as new keepers are added/space is needed. Getting rid of a lot of the cuttings I have going now will make space so I shouldn't have to add more for at least a while...

The perpetuals are going to flower out in 1.5 gallon pots and be smaller plants - expecting to have about 20 in flower at any time with 4 going into flower and 4 out every 2 weeks(-ish)... keeper cuts will be getting flowered in 5 gallons to start.

After the horror of the winter harvest/cut down, i finally opened my blumat box that got delivered in dec... this'll be the last handwatered run... all of the ones I'm starting perpetual and future cuttings will be watered with blumats... they'll only be handwatered while they are in solo cups the first week or two after germination/going into dirt from being rooted. Once they get transferred out of solos it'll be into a pot with automatic watering line... gonna get a big barrel for the water and install an RO machine in the kitchen so all that has to be done is RO water transferred from the sink to the water barrel... so if I go out of town even my grow clueless friend will be able to take care of my plants because all he'll have to do is make sure the water barrel stays full I'm planning a 2 week vacation in november by that time everything should be pretty set up for that I think. In 2+ months when this batch gets harvested i'll barely have to water anymore -- huzzah!!! Everything's about increasing quality and minimizing work at this point

First can of super soil is mixed for next batch... getting ready to go do the second, then watering them.

Actually going to skip the Ace of Spades this week and save that pack for the future... i can't pop any seeds for 2 weeks because the super soil won't be ready for 4 and it needs to be ready to transplant after 2-3 weeks... also need to see how these ace cuts turn out before i pop more beans... also i don't have flower room for at least 8 weeks from now, so I can't start for at least 2 weeks anyway...

Also FYI flower starts tomorrow... today will be the last day of veg

OK, well maybe these brownies I made are pretty fucking strong... holy cow I haven't been this paranoid since back in the day... was up in the grow room looking at things, watering the plants, planning and all of a sudden got verrrrrry paranoid about being busted... I realized I was reallll to' up from the brownies... I haven't been smoking in a while because I dropped my lil glass pipe and dropped it after all these many months... maybe it was the lasagna I just had for dinner (high fat content, although i drank a glass of milk...)... or that i haven't been smoking... but i'm fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked up.... to the point i shouldn't drive... wouldn't wanna be this high at work that's for sure... damn these brownies are good but I do noooot care for the paranoia... i wonder if this is what lightweights who smoke my flowers feel like lol. anyway... it may be the brownies... but i'm half thinking of not taking any clones, flowering the fuck out of these girls, and shutting down til I can get moved. Maybe after the brownies wear off I won't feel the same...

last time i felt this way was recently after ''pimping'' my vapor daddy into a ''WATER BONG VAPOR DADDY'' and I put some SpaceBomb x Dr.Grinspoon in the chamber 3 times in a row and I was gone!! haha This beautiful SB X DR.Grinspoon showed no signs of hermie and has revegged succesfully and is producing seeds at the same time from a male Spacebomb X Medicine!! More paranoia to come HAHA

Yeah I got chronic joint issues all over unfortunately but they're not debilitating (yet), just fucking annoying and sometimes pretty painful.

Should have pics or a video coming later tonight... brownies last night wiped me out/paranoided me out of getting everything set for flower so i'm not having brownies tonight and doing it then so tomorrow will be day 1 of 12/12.
