Remedy for bug problem?

So I've had some bug issues lately only on 2 plants so far, but it seems like the stopped on the first plant. I wouldn't be complaining if it was a little problem, but they just tear up my new leaves and it is slowing down growth. Does anyone know any effective bug deterrents or sprays that i could buy at the local walmart or home depot? Preferably a bug spray that will last about a week+ with each spray and not harm my plants in any way. Here is a pic of one of the plants being destroyed.

ok man. find a nursery or somwhere that sells lady bugs. they are carniverous and dont eat plants, theyll eat the ones that eat your plants. theyre arent too pricy. theres also yellow sticky traps that i used for whitefly problems. the color yellow attracts them and the glue well... sticks them. the only downside they stick the cool bugs and lady bugs too.

for smaller insects i use neem oil. it works good as a deterant. there is a product called hot pepper wax that works with some things it doesnt kill them just deters them. my mother uses it with good results and ive done so a few times seemed to work good. just dont use when flowering. there are many non organic products around if you look at home depot or a good nusury but i havent used them in awile. something like sevin (seven)? dust kills anything living but it can be harfull for people just to breath. look around there will be something helpfull but i recomend neem. a $20 bottle last me 2-3 years.

where can i buy neem oil? isn't it used for both plants and skin care?

no it will harm humans. you can buy it at any decent nursury.and probly home depot would sell it. go to a big garden nursury is your best bet. or order it speed delivery on the net. oh any hydro shop will have plenty also.

I just checked on my plants today, and it looks like they are all now being attacked just as bad as the pic above. It's sad all the new leaves are discolored, have holes in them, and are shriveling up. I saw spider mites on them i believe along with some other flying bugs. The spider mites were small tan bugs that looked like ticks? So i need to get some neem oil really quick if i want to save them :( And along with that it looks like one of my plants decided to start flowering in june with 15+hrs of light a day, so all the spider mites are eating up the flowers.

I was wrong. I checked them again and it seems there are very few spider mites. It looks like the problem is bugs are actually eating my plants something like a fly or an aphid I am not sure. So i made up a homemade mix of baking soda, vinegar, soap and peppers diluted in water and covered all my plants with it using a mist spray bottle. It is supposed to be raining for the whole week just like the past 2-3weeks (need some sun so my plants don't drown but grow). Does anyone know any other ways to eliminate or keep bugs from attacking my plants besides the method i used?

be alot easyier to go to a hardware store and buy bug dust keeps those damn slugs off and the mites from eating your plants. i see a lil of both from the pic so just pick some of it up and it works wonders and afew i think 6 weeks of using it will have a strong coat protecting your plants from all bugs then.

The dust may work, but i bet its super bad for the plants. I would only use that if i was going to loose the crop as the last act of a desperate man. I would stick with the organic, like neem. Or even hose the plants down to spray some of the bugs away and physically sit there and kill as many as you can find with your fingers. The las thing you want is weed that tasts shitty when smoking and gives you a "stone head" high as well as a headache. So you certainly wouldnt want to use it when flowering for sure.

Is there anything i can place around my plants that will keep bugs away? I only really wana check up on my patch once a week to keep suspicion down so i can't spray something every couple days or every time it rains (which has been every day so far pretty much). I would like to try neem oil but for how much it costs I'm kinda leaning away from it. Any suggestions.

It has been suggested that spraying plants with a 1:1 mixture of alcohol and water will kill spider mites on contact. Rubbing alcohol, like any alcohol for any creature, is poisonous in high dosages, and it evaporates quickly doing little damage to the plant it’s been sprayed on. Some people suggest a 1:3 mixture of rubbing alcohol to water, but the strong the mixture, the more certain you are to get as many mites as possible. Make sure to cover the entire plant, focusing on the bottoms of the leaves where spider mites tend to hang out.

i have been debating whether or not to try this on my plants even though i do not think i have any spider mites. my question is if i try this method will it prevent future bugs or is this remedy just for killin those dope eatin insects ¿?

and has anyone tried this on their plants?

I found out that my problem is bigger than spider mites and i must do more to keep them clean. As for your alcohol idea it seems like it would kill many bugs when first sprayed, but as you stated it evaporates quickly so i doubt it will be effective for long.

and if i buy lady bugs.... they will just fly away on me. I was thinking about sticky traps, but it seems like they would just get filled up too quick. Or i also thought only the mosquitos would really get caught on them, not really the disastrous ones.

Ok after using my homemade recipe for defending my plants from insects (dish soap, peppers, baking soda, vinegar, water) I noticed after about 4-5days it has done absolutely nothing.... I am getting pretty mad a the situation because my plants are not growing and getting ripped apart by bugs. One of my plants looks like it is about to die. So i decided not to go organic or try my home recipe and I'm going to try to pick up some pesticide from home depot this weekend. I read about Sevin bug killer and it looks promising, anyone else know any good pesticides i can use? I figured its veg so chemicals wont affect the smoke, and I'm growing in a swamp filled with bugs so i just want to get rid of these pests as quick as i can.

Have you figured out what specifically what bug is causing the problem. If it's mites or aphids on your plants, lady bugs are a great natural pesticide. You can by them online, and some Home Depot's sell them too. As long as you keep the area you want them damp, they'll stick around. If the area you put them is dry, the lady bugs will just fly away. They'll take care of the bugs without damaging the plant usually within a couple days. Also, lace wings are good bugs to have around your plants as they eat aphids too.

There is a variety of bugs eating my plants, theres a lot of big and little chomps taken out of the leaves. I found some aphids, white flies, and a variety of other bugs. Im growing in a marsh/swamp area so it is damp, but i dont think the lady bugs will stick around my plants for that long. And since its a lot of various bugs (its in a swamp so theres going to be a lot of bugs) so i think i would just like to use pesticides as long as they will not kill my plants. I just want to be able to spray my plants once or twice a week and be able to visit my plants each time healthy and bug free.
