Remember when cannabis was seasonal?

The time of the year determined what was available, leaf, leaf & Tip, bush bud.
In the "off season" times, hash, oil and imported Thai Sticks did the rounds.

Since the evolution of indoor growing good buds are always available, although my mate (who has been selling for 30 years) still has customers who pay good money for leaf & tip.

When pop bottles were income, pot was sold as lids, you could get real thai sticks (best weed I ever smoked), parents whipped kids asses when they needed it, you respected your elders, you were taught table manners, and better well fukin use 'em. There were shop classes in schools, not only were you required to take one, if you did'nt have wood or metal shop in your classes you were considered a pussy, You could tell who smoked by the lenght of their hair, you could (in most cases) front money or weed and not have to worry about it, AM radio,.....morals.......real freinds........

Life now is NOTHING like the old days.....I remember when there was no FM radio! We usually had to smooze a gal a LOT to finally get in their pants.....college was .....oh shit....GREAT for a small town country boy..... I remember cokes were 5 cents and penny candy was abundant. We sat up and paid attention in class.....makeup on a high schooler was unheard of........we walked or rode bicycles everywhere.....our doors were never locked......respect for others was a given......
I remember being "lost"for years, then cell phones found us...........I remember traveling with a joint in my inside suit pocket.....
Damn, just rea;ized how fucking old I'm getting! Gotta go anesthesize..........

I remember spending the whole summer outside from morning til dark every day. Water came from the tap or the hose cause you were outside. People came and called on you if they wanted to play with you. No shocks on our bikes or helmets on our heads and usually barefoot bike riding was the norm. You could go to the corner store leave your bike outside and shop with a quarter or the money you earned collecting pop bottles for their refund come back out and your bike is still there. If your underwear was showing your friends would laugh at you. A fight was between two people and was over when someone went down or said they had had enough,,, and never involved guns or knives that shit was only in the movies.
Girls wore pretty clothes boys wore functional clothes....The labels got cut out cause they were itchy on the neck.
Yeah man those were the days...Plus rep. that really brought me back- what the fuck happened and why did it change? why did we let it get so far from that?

Technology man, everything changes when tech gets more advanced. Look Edison with his light bulb. Everyone was burning candles because it was normal (and because most people couldn't afford electricity). But once those high ball dudes were like shit we need some of this light bulbs and shit, everyone wanted them, because candles suck and because human nature dictates that we will always want the biggest and best. After light bulbs everyone was like oh shit we have this energy shit now lets totally build some other shit.
Tl;dr technology is the root of all evil.

I remember when there were no VCRs, and broadcast TV was what you watched. Rabbit ears on top of the set, and putting foil on them to get better reception.

The Wizard of OZ came on once a year, and if you missed it, tough shit until next year.

I remember when it was legal to ride in the back of a pick-up truck, and there was no finer place to be on a sunny afternoon.

And candy cigarettes, and toy guns that weren't bright orange.

And stores had ashtrays inside for the customers that liked to smoke while shopping.

And full-service gas stations. For a few cents more per gallon, they pumped your gas for you, cleaned your windshield, and checked your oil.

I remember when I was in Nam Cigs were 1.10 a carton and gas state side in 1969 was 30 cents a gallon when in High School gas was 15 cents a gallon. I remember girls actually wore skirts or dressess to school no pants back then had to be a dress or skirt......guys got busted in High School for wearing their shirts on the outside of pants.....day off from school with zero in every class for 2nd offence. I got back from Nam and bought a Chevy 1/2 ton pickup with standard shift on colum and am radio no a/c for 1200 bucks brand new off the lot. I remember when you got it a fight you fought and that was it no weapons and most time you shook hands afterwards.........I remember going to the drive in movies was the main place to go necking with your girlfriend. Alot of babies concieved in back seat of car at drive in back in the 50s LOL. I remember when a gallon of milk was .50 cents. and it was real milk that you had to shake up to keep the cream mixed. NOne of this HOmonginized crap. Just a few things
;
I remember selling gas for $.16 a gal plus I'd wash yer windshield check ur oil, tire pressure, empty your ash tray, count out your change and hand you your Green Chip Stamps. Yea they made cars with ash trays in them!
An OZ of pot was called a "Lid" then later a "Can".
I was brought up to be accountable for what I do and respect to other people and their property, if I didn't I got my ass kicked.
Now days it's just easy to do whats easiest raising kids, and be their BFF.
Then when they can't get a job or stay out of trouble u can just do the easy thing and let them live out their pittyful life in your house and u can feed them, maybe buy them a car they can wreck maybe kill some one.
Then you hear poor Mom and Dad say how bad life is for their poor kids.
We are going to shit in a hand basket.
People are getting lazy and alot think they have things comming that they haven't WORKED for. /rant off/
