Remember when people actually respected police and every kid wanted to be one when they grew up? Now serve and protect is a thing of the past and it's a bunch of insecure, hypocritical pricks who get off on pushing people around. I'm not that old, they changed their public image quick.

I remember starting the 1st grade they taught use how to get under our desk in case of an ATOMIC BOMB and if out doors get near a wall with you back to the blast and not look..........we drilled 3 times a week. THE WHOLE USA SCHOOL SYSTEM DID it and taught it

... I honestly don't know how to respond to this. I'm for the first time in my life completely dumbstruck. If an atomic bomb falls on your city, your fucking dead. If your out of the blast radius, THEN these guidlines almost make sense. If your in the vicinity of an atomic blast, looking at it will singe your retina and you will be blind for like, the shockwave will throw anything miles away around like rag dolls. IDK. This is just ridiculous. No wonder the United States public schools are an international laughing stock.

Back in the day, when dirt was new.....going to concerts...... rolling a whole lid on the way to the concert.... throwing a couple of lit joints up on stage..........

think I have and old film about it they showed in schools and movie theatres on saturday cause that when all kids went to the movie this was in the 50s and bit in the early 60s

I still have the first issue vhs of the Lion King. Among others.
Im 19 about to turn 20, and yes during my teens I spent a lot of time watching cartoons and reading.

Remember the soda machine they had at this gas station I worked at, all you needed to get a free drink was a can opener and a straw.
It dispensed glass bottles and they slid down a track till it hit a gate then you would put your money in and the gate would open and you would get your soda, drink it and put it in a box next to the machine.
I remember my dad getting a electric pump to pump our water and we didn't have to use the old hand pump.

I remember when I was a kid the only thing I ever had to worry about was which one of my friends mom was gonna take us to the mall or splashtown.
I remember when a man gave his word, he kept it.
I remember where I was and what I did the entire day of 9/11 (I'm sure many of you can too)
I remember neighbors used to keep watch and look out for your kids whenever your parents weren't around.
I remember when you didnt have to worry about child predators taking one of your kids, cause mafia wiseguys in your neighborhood would kill him.
I feel sometimes I was born in the wrong generation.
