So I should b in Cali by mid Jan and will b crashing @ a friends. What do I need to know about renting a house for the purposes of a 2k-4k grow.

Do I tell/not tell the landlord?

R there any clauses in the contracts regarding grows?

With this kinda setup with I have to look @ any specifics in the electrical panel or do most standard houses in Cali have capabilities for a 4k?

Is bringing an electrician in if needed an option, why or why not?

What else can u guys give me info about?

3. I need a change of scenary

With that much light, they will likely find you IF they FLIR your area. Here are the cultivation regulations for CA

Possession/Cultivation: Qualified patients and their primary caregivers may possess no more than eight ounces of dried marijuana and/or six mature (or 12 immature) marijuana plants. However, S.B. 420 allows patients to possess larger amounts of marijuana when recommended by a physician. The legislation also allows counties and municipalities to approve and/or maintain local ordinances permitting patients to possess larger quantities of medicinal pot than allowed under the new state guidelines.

Be careful.

Check with your county #1. Some counties require you notify the landlord others do not. You need to make sure you are X # of feet from schools, parks, places of gathering... defined by local statutes which vary on county, city, and sometimes neighborhood. Read your rental contract carefully! Most generic rental contracts have a clause stating no breaking of the law - if this is stated as local/state you are ok, if stated as federal they can technically get you on it.
