I grew out an RP KK a few years ago. The smell and smoke were pretty amazing. I hadn't ordered a 5/10 pack, but got mine as a freeby seed. I didn't find it was so much lanky though during flowering, but during the first half of veg. The stem snapped on it's own at about a foot.

Once staked and tipped though, grew fine from there on out.

I grew mine outdoors so the yeild was alright

Got about a wopping 1.5Oz outta mine, but I started it very late in the season so it didn't get the chance to veg-out for long at all :(

Wish I had've cloned a mother or made the effort to get some Coll.Silver for that plant actually. And the Acapulco Golds a wasted ;(

Just finished another grow of Kandy Kush. One of my original theories for low bud density was hot weather but for this grow the temperature stuck right around 65-70 and the buds still ended up being the fluffiest stuff I've ever grown. I guess it just has to do with genetics then, I might buy another couple seeds of this strain to see if I can find a good pheno, but I'm still scared to get rid of the current pheno I have as the high is just too good to give up.

I grew one in 2011 that was a monster. Buds were very heavy and drooped all over the place. The smell while flowering had a sort of coffee smell to it. But once dried and cured, Mary Sweet Mother of Jesus!! She stank to high heaven! The buzz at first was a little racy, but settles into a crippling, serious munchies inducing, can't remember shit high that you never forget. maybe not the kind of high everyone is looking for. I grew her under a 250hps and did a little LST. Yielded over 4 ounces in a 4 gallon pot. Good weed! I have another seed that will drop someday. May be a good scrog strain. Branched very well and as I said, she did droop!

Sounds like you had an amazing pheno! 4 ounces under a 250 watt is insane!

From what I've read, most phenos are good yielders for Kandy Kush. After growing for a while, I am anal when it comes to plant training now days. I hit the 4oz mark most all the time. If I top her, spread her out and allow her to veg long enough its no problem. The elusive 1 gram per watt is my goal. I have hit the .5 mark with my 250. I think If I scrogged and waited till the screen was 75% full before I flipped to 12/12 I may hit it. But I have not been excited about fooling around with that damn screen. My last grow was 1 Kosher Kush under a 400hps in a 4 gallon pot with a 5 week veg. I got 5.5 oz's of some FIRE off her. And its supposed to be an average yielder. One day I will hit it. But each grow I am thankful for my harvest of high grade cannabis that I don't have to pay out the ass for!

i had some hermies on my kandys but other wise everyone loved the flavor and its good high. grew alrite outdoors hard to get it not to stretchy when small. purple think stems with hard earthy golf balls. or some nice pine looking spears. both smelt of earthy musky kush and it was always real sticky. gonna give it another go ordered another 6 pack so i can re get all the nice phenos. peace

They gave me no nute or PH troubles at any stage. They are all sensitive to light leaks and will herm on you at 2-3 weeks in the lower bud sites. The Kosher and Holy looked very similar, both with dense round buds. The HGK stank more but neither had very impressive frosting. That said, this weed would be considered awesome by most smokers I know. The HGK was a low yielder and brittle, it kept tearing itself apart around week 7. Most of the time I am too lazy to stake them or tie them up.

The Skywalker was very dank, icy, dense, potent and popular but also brittle.

The O18 was awesome, very dense, very OG stanky potent icy buds.

The RP OG was the slowest (~9.5 weeks?) unimpressive yield. The dankness and potency was there. The flavor was top notch chemmy OG.

The Sour Kush was awesome in every way except yield. It was the strongest dank smelling and it had staying power in the jar. Nice hard icy nugs with massive fuel. Brittle branches.

And finally the Kandy Kush. This was the keeper for me. Decent yield, tons of frosting, very strong OG funk with fuel and a slight bit of cheese. True the nugs were not as hard as the O18 but they weren't fluffy by any means either.

I am bringing up an old post, but I have seen you around lately... Not many people talk about kandy kush, I think that it is cool that you tried most of them and picked Kandy! I just ordered the last regular pack in stock, I wanted 2 so I had to get a Fem pack also...

I got this as a freebee in 2011, and I have bought it 4x now, if we are counting packs. It is nice seeing someone else that really liked Kandy!

This is the first time that I have seen Kandy in regular seed form, it has always been feminized. I really wanted to have a look at some of the males, but I was stoked about the 6x Golden Lemons from Choice seeds. I ended up getting 2x kandy kush and a Skywalker. What did you think about Skywalker?

The RP Skywalker fem we ran was super dank classic OG cologne, not a big yielder of course, brittle stems, hard to clone.

It was very similar structure and flavor to RP Sour Kush, except the SK did not have as brittle stems
