A while back i put forth ideas i was having for a grow room and found alot of flaws in my design. Im hoping that I have since fixed those flaws. If anyone can please tell me any doubts or worries you might have about my grow room design it would be appreciated!

Grow room is about 4X4X7 feet

Lights (HPS 950 Watt)
Two 250 Watt HPS lights up above
Three 150 watt HPS lights at ground level shining on lower leaves
Reflective Garage door insulation on walls floor and roof

Heat
Each 250 watt HPS is in a cooling tube (/6 inch inline fan for exhaust) The cooling tubes lead up through a dropped roof in the top of the closet, and eventually into the attic.

One 6 inch inline fan for intake. The intake is coming from another room kept at 65-75F and does not blow near the plants

One fan /Air purifier

Odor
1 DIY carbon filter
https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/7074-easy-build-diy-carbon-filter.html
1 DIY Ozone generator
http://www.ehow.com/way_5463718_diy-ozone-generator.html
1 decent air purifier (UV and ION)
All exhaust fans pull through DIY carbon filters attached at the intake of the cool tubes

Humidity
1 humidifier with a humidity gauge to keep room at 50%

Legalities
No walls of the grow room are on an exterior wall
Nothing bought or built was bought with cash
Live alone

Ventilation (112 sq foot room)
Two 6 inch inline fans (160cfm) for exhaust (through the cool tubes)
6 inch inline fan for intake (160cfm)

Everything is on timers!
Growing 3-5 white widows
Veging till 18 inches

Im only growing nirvana white widow this round, i hope to in the future grow some ak47 or ak47/whitewidow hibrid or something. We will see when the time comes, as for now my seeds get in about a week from now so im trying to make sure everything is ready so i can put those suckers in the ground asap.

looks like a sweet setup. Only thing i would change (besides sealing and co2) Would be change out the 2 250hps for one 400 CMH. Best of all worlds imo.

Im sure everything will add up to a sick grow, its exactly what i wanted to do with side/low lights, i imagine foot for foot its much more efficient use of watts.

and why was nothing bought with cash? or was that just a typo.

I also 2nd the 400w in place of the 2 250w. You already have side lighting so now what you really need is a bigger light for added penetration and growth. But i'm still not sold on the CHM thing tho.
The only big thing i dont see listed is a oscillating fan to even out the cab air and make your girls nice & strong

Looks good and you even got to learn from mistakes you never made ;)

I didnt think to include the fan but i will now!
As for the lighting, would 400w really be better than two 250s? wouldnt 2 250s have more lumen? I dont know what a CHM is either so maybe im missing something there.

Im also planning on cropping for 4 cola.

Your setups sounds like it has potential. The only change I can think of to room design would be to get rid of all those lights and get a single 1000w light for the room. Use the magnum xxxl reflector to get max spread. Cut off all lower branches before flowering and just grow tops. You're never going to yield much from the bottom buds anyway. You will get much more lumens out of your light, faster growth rates, higher yield, and less cables ballasts and bulbs taking up space like your 5 light setup does. If you really want it to produce use Liquid Light and Saturator at 60ml each per gallon and foliar feed twice a week from veg through week 4 of flowering. It will make your plants respond to a 600 watt hps like a 1000 and will turn a 1000 into 1400w. Stuff works great

What does Liquid Light do? What's in it? Thanks.
It makes your plants respond more to your lumens. It kind of artificially multiplies your lumens. Your plants under a 600w lamp will respond like it was a 1000w lamp using liquid light. I was skeptical at first until I did a side by side test and saw the difference. 2x per week. 60ml liquid light, 60ml saturator per gallon of water. Don't pH water. Spray at least 4 hours before lights go off. Right after they kick on is preferred. Don't use pre-mixed solution if it has been sitting a day. Use immediately for best results.

Im not entirely sure that its a good idea to pretty much abondon my current set up for a whole new lighting setup, plus I wont have the ability to get them liquid light every day, is my lighting set up really that ineffective?

Sorry, EVERYTHING was bought with cash, lol.

Nice man. How do you have the 2 6" fans setup for exhaust?
the exaughst fans pull air through a carbon filter, into my cool tube, and then out the roof into a crawlspace, the crawlspace is then vented into the attic. So my exaughst keeps air running through the room while pulling it through my cool tubes as well...

Yeah, selling everything would be a pain unless you already have a buyer for your gear. It's worth it to upgrade though. I'll attach a char that shows what I'm talking about. If you have air cooled lights they're probably about 12" away from the tops of the tallest plants. A 250 watt light at that distance creates 8754 lumens. Adding more of the same light won't multiply the amount of lumes per bulb. What it will do is increase your ability to cover a larger square footage, just with a lower amount of light.

If you were running a single 1000 watt at 12" you would be putting off 44,563 lumens vs 8,754 lumens. Just make sure you get a reflector big enough to cover your area. That extra light will give you bigger, higher quality buds ultimately. It will also shorten your flowering time some.

Only trying to help here. I speak from experience.

The liquid light only needs to be applied 2 times a week. As a foliar spray you would probably only use 1/2 - 1 liter per week in your setup.

edit: the 1/2 to 1 liter of foliar feed per week is relating to the premixed solution. A 1 liter bottle of liquid light and saturator will make a little over 16 1L batches. that will last 8 weeks in a setup your size. the total cost for both is about $60-$70 but for 2 months it's not that bad.

The exaughst fans first pull air through a carbon filter, then into my cool tubes, and finaly its all pushed out the roof into a crawlspace between my growroom and the attic, theres a hole in my roof into the attic so all the air eventually makes its way into the attic...

nomaninsf said it. The lumens dont multiply from each source, just better coverage. Side lighting is still good if you grow em big but you need to handle the heat
