What does it mean when you go to germinate a seed using a paper towel, and after about 2-3 days a small root starts to sprout like usual BUT....After a couple more days the root goes back Inside the seed and the seeds seems to start closing back up???? Anybody know what causes this?

soak in a cup of water. After day 1 swirl water so it sinks. Another 1-3 days and it will sprout. Then plant it.

Go get some root riot cubes as a domes tray with a heat mat. Push those suckers in the cubes and keep moist not wet. I generally see sprouts coming out in less than 48hours. Stubborn ones may take 72.

So what method do you use?
What I do now, through trial and error, just plant the seed in the pot its gonna stay in till the chop, with 2/3rds full of composted soil.
Keep the centre part (where the seed is) quite wet..
As the seedling grows, I carefully put drier compost around it as it stretches, giving it stem support, then leave it for about a fortnight before watering. They seem to do fine and I have no issues on any transplant or stressing them or hermie risks due to disturbance.
It depends also on as 60SOG said, how old the seeds are, but be patient though, if it hasnt popped after about a fortnight its unlikely ever to..., but I've grown older seeds using this method, dont be tempted to over water though.. .
Good luck bro......:weed:
