So what method do you use?
What I do now, through trial and error, just plant the seed in the pot its gonna stay in till the chop, with 2/3rds full of composted soil.
Keep the centre part (where the seed is) quite wet..
As the seedling grows, I carefully put drier compost around it as it stretches, giving it stem support, then leave it for about a fortnight before watering. They seem to do fine and I have no issues on any transplant or stressing them or hermie risks due to disturbance.
It depends also on as 60SOG said, how old the seeds are, but be patient though, if it hasnt popped after about a fortnight its unlikely ever to..., but I've grown older seeds using this method, dont be tempted to over water though.. .
Good luck bro......
