Review of the Source Turbo by Extract Craft

For sure. I bought a couple about a month ago. The food was disgusting, but the jar is nice thick glass. Right now I am using a few metal containers that work quite well.

Can someone help me I would like to know if you have to decarboxylate your bud first or does the machine do this during the cook off

Temps are too low to decarb in the unit. So if you won't be cooking with it, or smoking it, you will need to decarb it unless its for something like a salve where it does't really matter. Both work well (decarbed and straight up).

Wish it wasn’t so pricey. It does seem worth the price though. So when I make oil the old skool way with a Rice cooker I would get around a 30% Return plus or minus 5% depending on strain would the returns from the turbo be close to this?

How is the turbo? I'm thinking about getting one.
I love it spent two full days making oil and only lost about a 5th of my alcohol. The house use to stink but with this you only smell a little when you're pouring and straining. Love mine. Plan on making some more CBD pills today. Yes the price is high but the safety factor and the cash you save on the alcohol you will recoup the loss in no time.

Yes I think it might be a little better. But the real results an features is the safety of no alcohol aroma filling the house and the reuse of the alcohol is what I really love.

I have been researching and this unit is the only one I can see that is designed to reclaim the alcohol. Now i have some saving to do lol

What kind of return are you getting? I know it's dependent on your material. Have you gotten a couple grams in a run? Thanks for a reply.

Did not weight the results but was able to make 35 00pills using a 50/50 mix with coconut oil. I started with a quart jar of scrap CBD Kush. This was all the trim and stems with a few small buds. I got back quite a bit of the alcohol but not as much as I would have with out the stems as theyr'e a little harder to wring out. I qwiso about 34 grams of popcorn lower bud with some trim in it yesterday. Washed twice and broke down into 4 jars. The crucible doesn't hold much maybe 14 oz. So the first wash I got about 3.8 grams of real light golden color you could have made shatter if you wanted. The 2nd wash was 3.2 grams of a darker color. So that was 4 cycles in Source Turbo. I made vape juice with it, my wife prefers the taste of the darker, so next run I'm doing RSO and winterize it, and then run through the source turbo.

Thanks for getting behind your product ... proactively. I am still experimenting trying to up my yield, finished a run today. I found a good trick to getting a good vacuum seal. I put a few drops of water on the bottom of the lid and use my finger to rub it around the rubber seal. Then I twist it around until it gives a bit of resistance, then I push down on it before I start the machine.

Try a Grease
