rewetting and drying bud

So everyone in my town is stupid and thinks beasters are headies. I also want to start redrying the bud to make it a lot heavier by leaving it wetter. People in my town are to stupid to know whats up so I was wondering whats the corret way to do this?

How long should I let the bud soak?
Should I let it dry longer since it will be wetter in a bud dryer box?
