Rockwool ph questions

. I just cloned yesterday and I used rockwool between a 5.4 and a 5.8 ph. I know ideally you want 5.5, but will I notice any effects from using 5.4 or- 5.8. I presoaked my rockwool in filtered water and used lemon juice to ph down. I did not add nutes to the soak. I used clonex gel, and plant-success jellyfish microhize and trichoderma. The jellyfish powder has a NPK of 2-2-6, plus it has food already available for the microbes.nthe day before I cloned the mothers got only water and some Growmore seaweed extract (I wanted a small amount of root stimulating nutes in the plant). Am I using a good ph for my medium?

Just me, i always ph my rockwo at 5.8 or higher. First time i did 5.5 i locked mg out until i raised it....i never really have fluctuations in my rockwool either...alot of ppl i read about says it rises, i never get that....

Thats fine.

I think the plants biggest threat at this point is their owner ; ) Keep it simple.

What is your final medium? Hydro or soil? Do you use a tray/dome with rockwool?

The rockwool is known for pH flux, yes.. not that it will happen every time it's used.. but it's definitely possible. That said, if it's staying stable.. adjust accordingly and be happy it's not jumping 3/4 of a full point in 8 hours causing lockout lol

best to keep the ph at 5.8 if your growing hydro, i never rinse my rockwool cubes ever, i just dip them in water that ive ph thats it

Ideal ph for hydro is 5.8, 5.4 seems to be a bit too acidic to me, and I have to maintain my ph throught my grow tho sometimes it does stablize.

I dip in honey then clonex stick it in the cube put it in the dome in three to four days. I take the rooted clone out and plant it in a 1 quart pot of soil. All This other shit is just a good way to get you to throw dollar after dollar, to do what I do in a cup full of water in 5 days. It really isn't rocket science just cutting starts.
