does anyone know if plants grown under these lights need to run at higher temperatures like other leds? It doesn't seem to say online or in the manual or anything. i figure for over a 1000 bones for a light the answer would be easy to find.

All of your plants run on the same vpd chart regardless of the light because it should be based on leaf surface temps. The difference between hid and led for vpd is just how much of the energy from the light is transferred as heat to the environment and leaf surface. Leaf surface temp under hid is normally significantly higher than room temperature which is why your room normally needs to be cooler.

I could be wrong, but this is always how I have understood it.

yes. LED grow lights do not emit IR, unlike HIDs which emit ~15% of their wattage in IR. best bet is to use an IR thermometer to measure your leaf temperature and compare it to your ambient temp to calculate your VPD charts off of. my leaf temp is -2c from ambient w/ LEDs.

vpd is the same light for light. You have to run leds warmer to get the leaf temp up higher if running co2 I'm running roi 680s in two of my rooms they tend to run around 80 to 87 degrees depending on plant time ie veg, flower mid flower or im getting close to the end. I then merry up the rh to hit my target kVa. I try to keep it right around 1.0 to 1.5 kVA. You won’t find this in the manual and it’s different for each person given their level of control for their environment.
this is today of my room that just switched to flower Saturday. Those are all roi680s 1st genA498B576-29FE-44B5-B865-122F9D35CFDF.jpeg

Thank you. its just topping and keeping that ass clean. I like keeping the bottoms cleaned up mainly so fans can get in there and blow the humidity up to the dehumidifier. Sadly this and the other room both had quest 225’s when I bought this building. Though a tad to small for this room and plant load the other rooms I’ve added to this building are all running quest 506’s and everything in my big building is the same. I’d rather too much dehumidifier then not enough. Honestly once then 1st and second room are done ill more then likely upgrade these to quest 335’s not 506s and that’s only to watch the amp load in this building until I can either add 400 more amps orrrrrr convert this building to 3 phase power like the big building.
but back to, it thanks again it just goes to show there’s function to what I sculpt.
