I’ve grown for many years in soil and coco. I have just finishing up my second bubble bucket grow I’ve ever tried with great results from both grows. There is not much to a bubble bucket. Air stones, are all you really need. I found this thing called the root farm. It basically a glorified bubble bucket with a few cool features. It has a built in 1/2” pex pipe ring with four holes evenly spaced out ( I have misters coming to put into the current holes. It has a pump in the bottom that supply’s water to the net cups. I placed a large sit stone in the unit. I don’t know why they don’t ship with a air stone and pump?? Not that I would have used it. I already have a large pump from my bubble bucket grows.
The one bonus I like is that it has a inline valve that once flipped pumps the water out of a separate tube for water changes. Something I never had with my bubble buckets. All this stuff is easily buildable if you wanted to. I just don’t have the time or desire to build a proper one. Yup. Iam lazy. she has a good stretch going right now. No big deal. She’s going to get some LST in a couple weeks anyway. So The extra stretch kinda helps.
This thing holds 6 gals of water to just below the net cups. There is room for 5 plants but Iam just doing one plant. So anyone looking for a lazy and not too expensive but not the cheapest way to go.. $69 cdn But hey. check them out.
Peace
