Its my first time growing, and I purchased what I could as far as soil and nutes. Roots Organics soil, Buddha Grow, and Buddha Bud, Bat Guano. Has anyone mastered growing with just these or atleast figured out a good combo or schedule? thanks

There's no perfect/magical fert schedule for any nute line. It really just takes experience in learning what to give your girls, and when. They speak - you have to listen.

That being said, I think you bought some good stuff for your first grow. The rootsO soil is great bag soil IMO, and the grow and bloom nutes aren't bad either. My only complaint about the nutes is how thick and gritty they are. They can make a mess, and really aren't that well suited for any sort of drip irrigation. You will have to be mindful of all kinds of bugs. I've found watering with a little neem oil, about once a month keeps them out of my dirt. But there are other methods, some more or less organic than others. Neem oil is a must for any organic gardner IMO.

I try to mix the nutes a day before I use them. I don't bother aerating them for just a day. premixing will certainly help it dissolve better.

What kind of water will you be using? tap or reverse osmosis?

I will be using well water. Im out in the country and have a secluded place of 5 acres but this is my small indoor grow im trying to start. lol I have only one clone because im strapped after building my room and furnishing it. I have a 8 week old purple haze that was gifted to me by one of my blood brothers. so I haven't given it any of my organics yet. watered it and need to mix my stuff up. I know it was probably a serius no no but , it was freezing and we were transporting it, so I didn't want it to be too shocked, I gave it a small drink of miracle grow to prevent the roots from shock. it looks great and is flourishing so now its time to give it the good stuff right? im building a water barrel with shut off flow valve to distribute my water close to my grow and it be room temp water. I will post a pic of my 5 leafed girl for you to check out.

I will be using well water. I am really tapped out on money because I spent all I had building my room and furnishing it, now like an idiot, I didn't save for clones or seeds. luckily I had a person gift me a purple silver haze. it was transported in this freezing weather to me so I think I made a mistake maybe. I gave it a little shot of miracle grow to keep the roots from going into a shocked state from temp change and light change. it is really looking nice and flourishing well. now its time to give it the good stuff I think? Im building a barrel for water storage and feeding. so the water will be room temp. is that a good or bad idea. im going to post a couple of pics of the plant for you to check out. thanks

Hey dubcoast, I was under the impression that running Neem in your soil was bad for all the little micro-organisms you are trying to keep alive in your soil. Opinions?

Hey Ox, I would try to borrow a TDS or EC meter from a friend if you don't have one and test your well water to know what your mineral levels are. Over 200 ppm in well water is where I think people get concerned.

I'm not familiar with all your nutes but I have used the Roots Organic dirt and think it is great. I would not start seed in it, but transplant your seedlings going veg into it. You likely won't need to add nutes for a month, longer if you keep transplanting into larger buckets. Let them tell you when they are hungry (shine coming off the leaves, fan leaves going lighter). Be damn careful with your guano. A little goes a very long way with MJ and too much can easily kill your plants. Good luck! Looks like a nice grow room.

The MG that you put down was a mistake if you wanted a real organic grow. Salt based time release ferts do not mix with organics because they kill all the beneficial micro-organisms you are trying to keep alive in your soil. No biggie on a first grow. Learn more about organics before your next one.

yeah I agree bugeye, I just wasn't really prepared for the nutes at first and all I had was a little shot of MG. Just a tiny sip. all organics from here. I will borrow a tester to check out the water ppm. thx guys. I need to look up some good info on exactly how to take clones.

I agree bugeye, I wasn't really ready for the nutes just at that time. so it just got a snort really of the MG. its doing good now and all its getting is organic from now on. I need to borrow a tester to check the ppm in the well water. so shiny fan leaves mean ? I need to also look up some info n how to take clones right. I don't have any clone root gel or can I just cut it with a razor blade close to the stalk and put it in some good soil? thx again to you guys for giving me some great info.

First off a lot of good info here about the roots organic line thanks so much.
people said they're using cal mag well I've been using roots organic elemental and have the strongest sturdiest stocks I've ever seen in 5 years of gardening.
is anyone else using elemental what do you think of it? 20% calcium I use just 2-3 tsp for 8 gallons of water kinda scared to use more. It's just so strong.
honestly I haven't met anyone else that uses ELEMENTAL. But if you do I'd love to hear about your experience.

Neem won't kill off microorganisms. At least from what i hear. I've done it as well but I'm no scientist.
