Wow, bubbleponics is amazing... and so much less messier than soil... but its probably a bit trickier.

I wish I could do a bubbleponics grow, maybe someday ;)... a few years maybe when I got my own place and am actually living on my own. I could be out of this house by summer who knows haha...

but damn skunkman those bubbleponics ones look like mine do on day 15 0_0, thats growing over twice as fast as mine are in soil haha, hopefully I get better results with the new ones I planted when theyre under the floros which I am sure are in the 6500k spectrum, my CFLs are questionable.

I will have pictures later, Beta has been growing quite fast, I will definitely be raising the hood once again later, maybe tearing it down and making an actual grow box or something, I have like a dozen boxes in my room haha, and mylar.

Thanks for the replies.

haha theres plenty of places in the woods I could do it, I was actually considering it too, but bugs ewwww.

but wow, 8/8 of the seeds I germinated and planted did not sprout, wow that has never happend usually 100% of them sprout, seriously this is the first time I have even had 1 seed not sprout... and 8 didn't sprout damn. I am pretty sure I know what I fucked up with though, I poked the pH meter in all the soil in the peat pots to check the pH, which all read 7.0-6.9 I dont think it works right haha, but the holes left behind I put the seeds in, so the soil wasn't really touching the tap root on the sides, there was a big hole all the way down, so the tap roots just grew straight down, no roots grew off of them, I started germinating seeds earlier, so now this tuesday I should have 8-12 new sprouts under the floro.

Beta is growing like crazy though, 3rd node on each head, and the bottom is growing quite a bit too between the nodes. The new growth is so noticable, real bright green, the rest is a normal colored green. Some of the leafs on the top have drooped down, but have not curled or yellowed, I removed 2 of the plants under teh hood and put them under the floro, and took out 4 CFLs under the hood so the temperature is now at around 82 degrees. Beta and the pot with 3 sprouts are the only ones still under the hood, theyre the 4 biggest plants, I watered them today as well with the nuted water.

Pictures in about an hour.

Day 37 - on 1/25/8 - Beta
Day 25 - on 1/25/8 - Unnamed smaller plants
Day 1 - on 1/25/8 - Started germinating at least a dozen kind bud bagseeds.

Pictures should continue daily being posted this time every night because of how much Beta is growing.

wow it let me upload a lot of pictures :D.

PLEASE COMMENT, ARE THEY GROWING SLOW for how old they are? When do you think I should flower beta? its on day 37... should I flower at day 60?

Yeah I am not really in too much of a rush, I can definitely wait til day 60.

All the germinated seeds I planted didnt sprout, extremely strange usually 100% sprout, this time 0% sprouted, so I am germinating more seeds and will try again, currently I only have 2 of the day 25 plants under it that were growing really slow, just to see what happens under the floro. But I do like that floro its so easy to raise and lower and seal the light in and stuff, and so easy to fit a whole row of plants all the way across the 4ft span.

The germinated seeds? The normal depth I usually use like 1/2 inch or less, its always very close to the top of the soil. I made a mistake though, I used the probed all the soils with the pH meter and the hole that was left over that went straight to the bottom was still there, I was blazed and just thought hey there a hole perfect, and stuck the seeds in them, they sat like 1/2 up because the hole wasn't as big towards the bottom, but what happend with every one of them was the tap root grew straight down, and there was never soil really touching it because the hole went to the bottom... I am kinda pissed at my stupidity, I can't believe I didn't think it was a stupid idea at the time, oh well... I already have the next batch of kind bud bagseeds germinating.

picture time,

temperatures today: high: 91.3 :( low: 71.3
humidity when I last checked: 20%

i managed to salvage one of the thought to be dead seeds, it was just sitting lifeless in the soil hole and I replanted it and it sprouted, but it will probably die, we will see, I watered the 2 older plants under the floros to with nuted water.

Day 38 - on 1/26/8 - Beta
Day 26 - on 1/26/8 - Unnamed smaller plants
Day 2 - on 1/26/8 - Kind Bud Seed Germination - Some have germinated.
Day 1 - on 1/26/8 - Salvaged sprout

I added 2 more CFLs under the hood that are in a lamp with a Y socket pointing to the sides of the plants. they are all pretty much lit from every single side.

ALL COMMENTS WELCOME AND WANTED PLEASEEE HAHA DAMN I AM PRAYING LIKE HELL I WILL GET females when I flower haha I dont know why I typed in caps.

Fuck...

I decided today I would change the direction of the setup so its against the side of the wall, so I can reach the back of the closet, before it blocked the whole back... so I get everything prepared, move it, and the entire rigged setup that holds the lights up fell to pieces, 3 hours later I have both sides held up by boxes... its wobbly but seems to be holding, and is able to take the wobbling when I push on it... so ehh.

Its taller now as well, and is against the wall so theres now the advantage of the white wall.

So the plants had minimal light for 3 hours... ouchhhhhh. The lights are now not as close as they were, hoping to keep them away from all the heat, they are all heat stressing...

now the worst part, near the bottom of Beta where the hygrometers temp prope is, temperatures are 91 degrees... I dont know why the fuck the fans not doing a thing... I thought lowering the plants from the lights where the heat bubble is would help, but it didn't do a damn thing, and this setup has even more temperature problems than the last. This is fucking pissing me off.

I will have pictures later.

I took the pictures just forgot to post them, but damn its morning, checked the temps they were at 98 degrees near the stem of Beta... worst than when I first had the setup with all the lights and everything sealed.

I smell baking marijuana plants :(.

Errrr, temperatures right before lights came back on, 80 freakn degrees, thats as cool as it gets in the closet. I think my plants are doomed.

Haha dang... I don't even see how its so hot... I have 8 CFLs in the main setup and thats it, and I get 100 degree temperatures at the coolest part.

I planted 4 new seeds in miracle grow, I placed the peat pots in plastic cups, they fit perfect and theres about an inch gap between the bottom of the cup and the peat pots so drainage has room to spill to, but miracle grow doesn't seem to drain at all, I soaked the soil and not 1 drop of drainage, The Sta-Green was a COMPLETE disaster, the water just makes big drops ontop of the soil and slowwwlly absorbs it, and thats when the water doesn't just pour down the side and out the drainage, literally water just running off the soil and down the side through the side drainage in the peat pots.

So I have 4 peat pots that I planted seeds in yesterday maybe day before I forgot, but one of them has sprouted today, and I just planted 4 more today.

The T12 with the 2 40w 6500k bulbs doesn't seem to be doing much at all, but then again I haven't really tried it out properly with good seedlings.

I can now access the back of my closet and I am hoping to make a whole lot more room, so maybe heat will have more room to displace.

When I leave my closet door open temperatures only drop to 83.5 degrees and no lower.

I really do seriously need to have a successful grow this time. So much money and time invested in it so far.

Hey-- read the whole journal-- you certainly seem to be struggling. Hope things get better.
I was having the same problem with water just running off the top of my soil. I found that this time I soaked the soil and mixed it with a spoon like 2 days before I was ready to plant-- it was kinda soupy. BUT it dried out to a normal consistancy before I planted-- water flows much better now. Try the soap thing too-- just a tiny bit-- I've heard people swear by it. I was/will go that route if things don't keep draining well.
My rigg gets really hot with the CFLs too. I find I have to keep the cabinet door open and lose some light to keep the temp at 80%. (My humidity's 30)
Don't give up though...
