Rubbermaid Purple Ryder Grow Of Doom II

Yea, I'm pretty sure the top is going to open to sum balls from the pic I see. But like you said, atleast you can collect some pollen and the next time you get a girl hit her with it, and get yourself a ton of free seeds. Wont have to buy em again, unless you wanna switch for variety. But the Ryder is some great seeds to have for sure.

Do you have more of those seeds? I would start it up now if so, you can sit the male anywhere and he will have enough light to continue to grow out those sacs. I put mine on a window sill.
Yeah I bought 2 seeds, and I'm gonna have to go out shopping for another gallon pot for the next seedling. If nothing else I can just go back to the seed bank site and grab 2 more seeds and keep trying I guess.

Yea, hey you should start the seeds off in something like Jiffy Seed Starter mix or something with no nutes whatsoever.... The breeeder told me the Female ratio is way higher in some general compost mix like that. Just a suggestion for ya

Doh! Too late :/ I already planted it in a party cup with FoxFarm Ocean Forest last night. But, I'll keep that in mind if I have to grab some more.

haha...yea you should be good! I did my first round of them in FFOF and had a decent female to male percentage. I had a grow log up and running and Mossy told me that they thrive in general potting soil to start them. Then transfer them to the FFOF right after because that has all of the nutes and mycos you'll need until sex is shown and then some. My first time with them I was 3 female 4 males. This time through just using Jiffy Seed Starter mix, im 3 females to 1 male and they get going a little faster as well

man i was really excited to see your grow journal! That fucking sucks that its a male, but there is an upside to it that you can breed with it or once you get a female, you can pop one of its seeds in there and make some crosses like you said...

Oh well, i got a few regs also, so im hoping for the best but expecting the worst!

good growing bro,

Huh. That's interesting. I will have to hit the hydro store and grab some if this next seed isn't a female.

good growing bro,
Oh no worries, the show will go on. I put in another seed in last night so it should pop tonight or tomorrow. Just sucks that I have to start over again, but I suppose that's how it rolls.

Sorry to hear bud:-( Are you just going to keep updating on this thread?
Yep, I'm just going to continue with this thread with the next seed that should be popping tomorrow.

As for the male. It looks like I'll be having some of the balls pop here in the next day or so already.

Well, it's official, round 2 has begun. Just as planned, she popped yesterday and is in her new gallon pot as of today. Slightly concerned as her leaves haven't yet straightened out, but we'll see how it goes.

Oh yeaaaa!!! Nice... my babies are unfortunately being torn apart by mites at the moment! :( Been trying the neem but to no avail! I never wanted to use one but ended up throwing in a no pest strip as I hear they are the shit at getting anything gone..and super cheap!

Those pest strips work great, I used to use them when I had a couple of pythons and boas. Hopefully they work for your plants.

As for the grow, she keeps goin'. I think this one is going a little slower than the last though, but as long as she keeps goin' I don't mind.

Get that male out of your box man!!!!! If it drops pollen in there you'll regret it for the next couple grows cuz you'll have seeds in it from that male dropping in your box. You'll have to strip everything down repaint/scrub the shit out of your box and fans can hold pollen on and on put it in the widow without a fan or breeze going to it and it dont spread and you should be fine....

Yeah I know I'm playing with fire at the moment but, I don't have a choice for the next 3 days. Talk about bad timing, I have a routine alarm inspection and have to keep things hidden, which means they both have to live together for the time being. I've been removing the male at night when I get home so that I can clip the busted pods and collect them. If I can collect enough tonight, I can just kill him off all together. That's the plan anyways. It sucks, but, bout all I can do.
