I've been drying plants sporadically while the late flowering phenos finish up-I trimmed the purple Palmera pheno the other day, and actually just vaped some of it. It's the strongest "sativa" type bud I've had in a couple of years. I'll get out my ring light and try to get some good pics of it later. Here is what the new seedlings look like at exactly 7 days. I was sent a bunch of 8 oz cups once and never used them, but I decided to try them out instead of toss them. They dry out way faster than the 16-18 oz solo cups, which actually makes the seedlings grow pretty fast, but it's a little irritating-I won't get this size again. I'm actually moving over 100% to pots since I discovered I can get 3-4" pots cheaper than I can solo cups (online, not locally). I'm feeding these seedlings at .9 EC from day 1(at this stage I feed to runoff and let it nearly dry out before feeding to runoff again), so you can see a little tip burn-it's the same mix I feed to bonsai mommies. With my 140 ppm tap water (40 ppm Ca), per 2 gal I add 4 grams of Maxigrow, 1.5 g epsom salts, and 2 g Corn Steep Liquor to make a .9 EC solution. I also just figured out how to put words in the pictures LOL:

Actually you are right Jeff! Tom Hill Haze is very Thai dominant, and it looks much more "landracey" than the Dutch Flowers Chocolate Thai, which has thicker leaves. Yep, the Cherry Bomb is the Mr Greengenes line from '78. He found a cherry pheno in some good Maui Wowie and worked it into an ibl over the years-the origin is most likely BOEL red hair Oaxacan that entered Hawaii in great quantities in the early 70s. I'll be growing some different Oaxacan later on this year too.

You're right Conor, there was definitely some affie in the Maui Wowie original genetics. Mr. G thought there is Thai in the Cherry Bomb as well. The old posts about it tasting like tobacco made me think of the Dutch Flowers Chocolate Thai which was collected in the Mid 80s in Hawaii, which just 5 or so years after Mr. G made his first Cherry Bomb selection, so I think a lot of the best herb from that era in Hawaii was related. I love the tobacco flavor in Cannabis, my Grandfather was a big user of nasal snuff and I always loved his collection of little boxes and funny containers of snuff and how they smelled.

I'm excited about growing them at the same time, I should have done a full Hawaiian strain tribute grow, since I have the Molokai Frost pack now too. I think I have a pack of Swami's Cherry Bomb x Kahuna bud as well. Not Hawaii, but Ace's New Caledonia is looking good too. I already have my next cycle planned out, but I would love to grow out all my Pacific Island strains this year.

Here is the FDM Cindy 99 fast flowering Grapefruit pheno, please ignore my hatchet quick trim job lol (13.5 weeks):

I kept them on their branches for now because I have each one labeled with the pollen donor

This turned out really nice, it's potent smoke, less heady than the Palmera, but good daytime smoke nonetheless. I have seeds with it and our mixed C99 daddies, plus a 1:1 with the only ESB daddy I found. I'd like to toss a couple of the ESB crosses into a future grow just to get an idea of what they're like because this was a pretty plant and easy to grow.

.9 ec was a bit hot for the Chocolate Thai, though the THH seems to like it. I'll probably just dilute it with 10% water until they gain a few more nodes. Here are my Choco Thai twins, the little one was stunted for a while, but seems to be rooted in and growing normally now. It'll be cool to compare these.

I'm thinking I'll transplant these soon into something, maybe even just bigger cups. The 8oz size just added more work. I've found the 3" pots to be the most useful small size, which is like the top half of a solo cup. You can keep them in those easily for 6 weeks before transplant if you want to keep a plant small.

That will be a nice combination for your stash box Jeff! I love both of those strains. You've got a ton of tops on that bush, I bet she yields well too.
I'm thinking the same my HLG 600 as far as I can tell will not give it a choice but to do so lol hopefully you are having a great day
