Post Harvest Shot After a 1 week hang + Quart Jar Cure w/Orange & Lemon Peel / Water Cure for the 2nd shot

I'm back for another go at this. Gonna do it in the same box but I'm going to seal it much better this time and not have it look all ghetto rigged. The previous setup had too many light leaks. Instead of mylar, I'm going to spray the entire interior white. As for the lights, I have a better light box planned out which won't be using duct tape. Time to invest more into the quality of the box because it really helps in the end. I also have a good plan for odor control with a scrubber + ONA blocks. New thread will start as soon as I get the box all prepped up 100%.

haha cool grow, I was doubting all along as I read but the dry harvest was really surprizing! You got more yeild than the advertized yeild of 50grams! How was the water cured buds? Ive been reading into this for a little while, I like the idea of having orange and lemon peels in there too, was that a nice effect with the peels? Im thinking of doing a pretty big water cure mainly for it being less smelly/more potent/less harsh/faster/less risk of mold. It sounds like a great method but I don't want to ruin my buds either. Looking forward to the next round, what strain you thinking this time?

Btw did you find doing the water cure took away alot of the nice aroma? did you regular dry any buds? did you find water curing makes your final product a little less impressive to look at/smell?

Thanks man. Water cure was alright to experience. I personally didn't think it was worth it. No taste, no bud appeal, no smell. I kind of like the contact high from good smelling bud haha. You definitely get blazed with water cure and you will benefit from it not being smelly. It's also a lot less harsh. The smoke is really clean and the stone creeps on you. Maybe try a little batch to see if you like it? The orange/lemon peels were amazing and the bud always smelled like starburst/jolly ranchers. Freakin' delicious. I couldn't stop opening the jar to take a whiff. I want a room deodorizer or candle with that scent... haha

As for my next round, I'm ditching the rubbermaid and I stepped my game up to cabinets. I currently have two being set up and will be doing a continuous cloning cycle with a new strain; 'Cinderella 99' from Femaleseeds. Hoping to harvest every other month with that cycle. I have one more Samsara cristal storm seed that will also be grown. I'll update this thread with the new link to the new thread. Waiting on my seeds to get here. Stay high dude! The water cure took ALL of the bud aroma away and turned the bud into black looking shwag and my friends said it looked like shitweed...Until it knocked them off their asses..

And no that's my ex.. haha

Yea I know what you mean, its good to have that smell to your bud. I judge weed on looks smell alot so it needs to have that.
Usually water curing is done for 7 days, I wonder if you did a 3 day water cure and then proceeded to dry cure like you normally would maybe it would be the best of both worlds?

having weed that smells like jolly ranchers would be pretty cool too though lol

Ehh, a 3 day cure might taste like crap and might smell like swampy cat piss. As soon as you dip the bud in water, you're allowing it to dispense terpenes, chloroform and left over nutes. That's why the water turns and starts smelling. By day 7, the water will be clear. I surely wouldn't want to inhale any leaf with those watered down compounds. The hit might be harsh. Following your grow now. I should be starting mine in the next few days. Jolly rancher bud is the dopest dope i ever smoked. lol... I'm thinking about having individual jars with different fruit peels this time.. That won't be until April

does the jolly rancher come out in the smoke? can you taste it? or is it just when you smell the buds fresh?

You can definitely taste a bit of candy flavor/citrus in the smoke through a vaporizer. It really wakes up your senses. Seriously.. This bud vaped so well that it made my sinuses tingle. .2 lasted me about 30 good pulls through a whip/hose box vape and by the time i took 5 pulls, I was beyond obliterated. Had to share with others.. lol

Is the high a good quaity pure indica like the breeders say?? I got a bean of this and not sure if i will use it for pollen yet, need more info! thanks

Sorry been a while since I've been on riu. The quality of these buds and smoke are freakin' awesome. I recently did a buddha purple kush grow and these buds dominate the purples by a long mile. At least imho.. ymmv. These were the stickiest and most dense buds I've grown. Very happy. Will most likely do them again. Hope that helps man.
